    the 8x has been run up to 512mW+ although I think that is pushing near its limit. You could sell those on ebay but I hope you have a big slush fund for the overhead. -Mike

    Ebay doesn't want lasers <5mW sold on their anymore. You could "part it" and sell it if you wanted. That wouldn't be against the ToS. IMO just keep it and add it to your laser collection. -Mike

    Re: My 110 mW Blu-Ray In the only picture that clearly shows the driver. There are several places that have open component spots. That tells me this driver is some type of universal dealy. Also we are in the 1/2w bluray times now :P -Mike

    Shine one in each eye.. which ever eye goes bad first is the stronger laser... No, don't do that. Go buy some laser safety glasses so you don't ruin your vision with an unlucky reflection. -Mike

    No, the drive was between 3-4 foam "sandwiches" and placed inside this clear plastic ball. Imagine a clear "smaller" ping pong ball... That is what it was. It really shocked me! Really one of the coolest packaging methods I have seen for small PCBs. -Mike
