Possible new aixiz 405/445 glass lens

Okay, I see you have the lens focused to a huge dot. What does it look like at minimal divergence? The last Aixiz glass lens had giant wings off each side of the dot, which made the beam in the air appear hazy and wide like a batman call. I'm wondering if this still happens with the new lens.

    1W 473nm for $253.56

    Thank you for clarifying.

    1W 473nm for $253.56

That's another thing I was curious about. Are 447s real diodes? I always figured when someone said 447, it was really just a 445nm Casio projector diode that they were calling a 447.

    1W 473nm for $253.56

Oh, look, they also have 1W greens for $233.69. 1000mW 1W 532nm High-power Green Laser Pointer Gray - Tmart.com I wonder if they are up to spec.

    1W 473nm for $253.56

I figured I should ask here first, since I really have no clue what I am looking at here. Laser advertised is 1W 473nm for $253.56 at Tmart. 1000mW 1W 473nm High-power Blue Laser Pointer Pen Gray - Tmart.com Is this laser possibly a 445nm that is being advertised incorrectly? Or are 473nm...

New at AixiZ driver and lens for 1 watt 445 builds

Will the new lenses still have the characteristic "wings" of the last Aixiz lens? I like the last Aixiz lens for burning, but the beam quality is hazy, due to those wings hanging off the sides. For that reason, I really do like the 405G-1, for the clean output quality without the wings.

    Damnit, Another One Down

WTF? Putting water in the lens, draining it, and letting it dry. Where do you get these absurd ideas from? Use some lint free cloth and rubbing alcohol. Compressed air if you have to knock lint off. Don't go pouring water in your lasers. Sheesh

Shark Buck 2-amp driver, Thumbs Up

They have voltage spike protection. I made sure of that. I have driven 12x diodes on 8.4v without any problems. About the voltage input. The info thread is currently down. It surprises me that they don't list specs on the website, but to my best of knowledge, I want to say that input was a...

Shark Buck 2-amp driver, Thumbs Up

It will either voltage regulate or current regulate based on whichever comes first. With many diodes hooked up to it then it will voltage regulate. With a single diode hooked up, you would hit the amperage limit you set before the voltage limit. This would not deliver the full 11.5V then when...

Come down to my property sometime and we will burn the sky.

Shark Buck 2-amp driver, Thumbs Up

I had made mention of the Shark Buck 2A driver a while back when people were looking for high amperage drivers to power A140 diodes. I just wanted to say that I have had a chance to use this driver now for some time and it has become one of my favorite drivers. I currently have the 2A version...

    12x BR DIODES

In an experiment, using past second hand data isn't a good way to preserve current results. He may have very well set it at 500mA, and it could very well be at 540mA via unknown variables now. The reading basically hints at this possibility. A plot shows the two variables tested at the same time...

    12x BR DIODES

JakeGT, But have you tested your laser to be sure the driver is only putting out an actual 500mA? 820mW is a very high reading for .5A, and I would be inclined to believe the driver is actually pushing more amperage than that. An actual plot of the diode provides the valuable data desirable...

    2x cr123a vs 18650 ??? O-Like laser question

Yeah, the 18650s are incredible cells for the volume they occupy. A good 18650 will provide over 4 times the capacity of a top-rated 16340 cell. I buy the turqouise colored Tenergy 2600mAH 18650 cells from Batteryjunction.com. They are <$8 each. The absolute highest outputting 18650 cell...

    200mw laser at o-like for 130$ 150mw laser at Nova for 490$ ???

Get yourself a better deal and quality than both of them by building your own laser. We hobbyists build the nicest lasers of all. Better than those mass produced things with jacked up prices. ;) Remember, high prices don't always mean quality. I've got a Laserglow Aries. The machining quality...

o-like 400mW green laser with pictures

It's too bad that a company cannot get a green laser done right at a good price with a moderate output. There is clearly a high demand for that great color lying smack dab in the center of the visible spectrum. Was anyone aware of the Wicked Laser Spyder in 532nm that was available after the...

    Sold

Re: FS: 1.2W CNI PGL-III-C-449.3nm $290 I am confused because you say 1.2W laser in title. You have a video of the laser putting out roughly 1.2W also. However, in this thread, you say it has a 410mW average. Why the large discrepancy from 1.2W down to 410mW?

    Were should I buy a 8x diode

I just ordered another 12X sled, this time from modwerx. I'll let you know how long it takes to Illinois.

    Were should I buy a 8x diode

Darn it! Ordered from China. Definitely not. 12X is here now and ready.
