Will there be any change between the current optimized for red lens and the new proposed "650" lens? I'm debating waiting but it might not be a good idea, especially if Meredith switches to the broad band style lens

Somehow jay you come up with stuff no one has ever thought about, and make it simple. Another awesome build, which has more uses now that it has a flashlight built in. Instead of carrying a laser and a flashlight, you can pack both in the same unit. Excellent work :beer:

You mean as far as Gen 1 is concerned? I've heard that gen 2 and 3 are far superior to gen 1 night vision

Re: Blu-Ray Current Levels for Long Life Well put. 2 minutes a day seems like the average use one of these diodes is likely to get. If my diode lasted for 8 years, I would most likely have replaced it with a more powerful one long before its expected life ran out

400 mw??:drool: Dang if only I had the money. What's the duty cycle on something like that? Does it heat up much? I know with my red LOC build, I have the driver set to 400 ma so it gets pretty hot (the driver, not the host), but it seems that these high powered BR diodes operate with...

Re: FS | HoN Beta Keys - $10 I have been a beta tester for HoN for some time now, so I have absolutely no need for another key. However, I doubt that S2 Games would approve of someone selling keys for their product, especially when the keys are free to begin with. Just something to think about

I think Dark said they are 100% compatible with 5.6mm diodes and that the lens could also be replaced.

Never heard of this, what are you trying to cure with IR? Also, I could be wrong, but would 5mw of IR actually penetrate the body beyond a few millimeters?
