Deathangel did seem a bit odd but have you contacted him about this and been able to talk to him about it? There may have been a mix up or lack of parts and he was waiting for them to come in. I'm just trying to think positive here. Hopefully it is just getting lagged in transit and will arrive...

Re: Name the new custom laser barrels. These did seem a bit... blah? Maybe it's just because I work up about ten minutes ago. One that I surely don't think you should use is "Venom". Venom happens to also be the name of Destructive Gear's 20mW Pen Style laser. ::)...

YES USE A FAN! Don't learn the hard way like me and find that after a little while that the heat sink becomes hot enough you can cook on it!

I don't know too much about that. :-? But all I know is I hook them up to my computer power supply and it freezes everything FAST! ;)

My mouse is a "Class One Lasing Device" so <5mW and it states "832-852nm". To put it simply, really low powered invisible light.

Well order it with the foam since it's only $3 or so more. But for the >$10 for a replacement it's not worth it. The whole foam chunk just slides out too so you can have interchangeable sets.

I would have to say try googling for places or asking Andy. If you didn't need to TTL I would say get a DX laser and pull it apart. But to my very limited understanding, TTL would just turn the power on or off to the module so you would just need to hardwire across the switch and have the TTL...

Well if you get one don't forget I can get this foam for everyone! ;D Better then buying an insert from them. Still not sure of the price but I can get just about any size to fit any case or box, just let me know.

Dragonlasers does seem great but don't forget to look at other places like Nova Lasers for pen lasers or for larger lasers Optotronics. Just steer clear of Wicked Lasers. ;)

I've seen things like this and I'm not sure exactly what the coating does but if you shine a laser though it you can get the beam to go through it and reflect off of it nicely. I have actually sued the reflection off of one of these to pop a balloon before.

Because IR diodes have been out for a long time so they have been able to create small and powerful diodes over the years. And since they have had the diodes for a long time they have been manipulating them for a long time being able to find ways to make colored coherent light out of 808nm. ;)
