new co2 from old medical eq, water cld or not?

First, Awesome! A gas laser section! Now for the question: This is my second co2 laser  :D , it appears to be water cooled, but a friend of mine said that it is probably flowing co2 gas  :( , in wich case it would not be water cooled as there are only 2 hoses on the tube. Does anyone know for...

Solderless diode wiring using break away headers

Re: Solderless diode wiring using break away heade I have scoped the lm317t with a storage scope, it DOES NOT SURGE without a cap! I have looked at this very closely with 3 different scopes, one analogue, the other 2 were digital storage scopes, and I didn't see ANY surge with the ddl driver...

    RF excited CO2 lasers

Chris sent me a replacement, he is right about them being really heavy duty parts, I am surprised that this fet was bad, they are rated way over what you would think they are rated for, but it was still bad. I looked around and couldnt find one anywhere else. :) I am willing to bet you dont...

    RF excited CO2 lasers

The laser I have now (gave the other one away for a Christmas present) has the single voltage power supply. The other one I gave a good friend for Christmas has the multi voltage input supply, and I had a lot of problems getting that one to work, it turned out to be the big fet on the laser...

24x!! Sony Optiarc Delivers 24x DVD Writer

Yes, I agree, that's what the other models all have. I still dislike these drives, they burn at least one bad disk for every 4 or five I make. I have three of them unfortunately, and they are all the same, I cant believe they have improved this drive any at all, I would have to see it to believe...

    **Disposable Camera TASER**

I hope no one seriously hurts themselves after reading this thread, those 3900uf caps would be enough to make your arm explode if you got across them fully charged. someone said ma? these would be able to deliver a thousand amps or more instantly depending on how you got across them. Big caps...

Here's some labels: they say visible/and or invisible radiation so I can use the sign for ir laser also by just changing the mw, and nm. :)

    RF excited CO2 lasers

Event Horizon: UM... It is possible that those heat sinks are messing with the tuning of the laser tube. and that could have something to do with the problems you have had with your laser. I just thought I would point that out, I could be wrong though.  ::) P.S. My co2 laser bot is almost done! :D

I like this forum because of its simple layout, I don't like VB because it is more complex and jumbled up looking, I don't know if others feel this way, but I like it how it is, I hate to see it change. :-/ P.S. I'm also waiting on the email.
