Thanks, i just got done testing it. my LED is really bright through my switch, pot and up to my LM317 (Vin). It dims to about half its brightness at my LM317 (Vout). It barely lights at my LM317 (Adj), i follow that to my 2-10 Ohm resistors and where my resistors connect with my 1N4001&Capacitor...

everyone is mentioning lenses, where can i get one, is the AixiZ a housing with a lens? can i use the little "eye" peice on top of the sleds from a cd or dvd player/drive/burner?

AixiZ are pretty common here, there is a plastic alternative to it, i think it may be close to what you want. the maker of these i think starts with a W. sorry i dont remember it. if i run across it ill come back
