COMPLETE* 1/7 Destructive Gear PYRO 100 Review

Re: *UPDATE* 12/10 Destructive Gear PYRO 100 Revie Wow, if this wasn't a free laser laser I would say this is just crazy! Hopefully this will all be worked out soon though. I really want to see a true Pyro in action!

Anyone Seen This Laser? Need Info Please?!?!

Wow, crazy TEM modes. I haven't had any of my lasers do that. But I'm glad you're able to get a refund on the laser. Maybe see if you can push it to the limits until you ship it out and see what kind of fluctuations you can get out of it. Should be interesting enough.

Beam color difference between DX and CNI 532nm

Hmm, my guesses are because of the lower GREEN LIGHT (Not talking about IR Leaking at all) at when you look at the light it blends with the shade of red you see over everything giving the illusion that it is truning a tint of orange. When I get home I'll check this out too both with laser...

    wicked laser horror story

All I have to really say is that I'm not surprised in the results of what happened to you. That's a good trick for noobies though, say they shipped the wrong unit and make them have to pay for return shipping. :D

    Flimsy DragonLasers Boxes!

Try looking at Cigar cases to hold it in possibly. http://www.cigarcaddy.com/products/2_stick/ I'm tempted to get the 5 stick one. Or if you can find a standard plastic box of a good size I should be getting some more Extra Firm foam like I used in my laser case and can sell you some. Should be...

Review: Atlas Nova True Green Laser Pointer

I really like the informative post you linked too. I'm curious to see some pictures of your laser though. ;D

How do industrial or military LASERs work?

I believe you are on the right track with your suspicions. For cutting steel with lasers they generally use CO2 lasers which are easily obtained in the houndreds of watts. Then they use precise optics to focus it down to a point that is so concentrated it burns like millions of suns in one spot...

Anyone Seen This Laser? Need Info Please?!?!

Well with it in the condition that you say it's in I would say replace it if you can! This looks like it may even be from somewhere like boblasers which doesn't have the best reputation. Maybe get some pictures of the beam splitting? I have seen any good TEM pictures before besides our usual TEM00

    My Dream Laser!

You could do it in theory! I think you could pull of a harvested green module, DIY red in Aizix and Blu-Ray in Aixiz. As for switching between them maybe have the battery power "hooked up" to all three but use either multiple toggles or a three way switch to be able to swap between them and just...

How to keep the diode from falling out?

    27 + 1 = 18 :D

Making your green laser COLD PROOF and run @ 100%

Re: Making your green laser COLD PROOF and run @ 1 I love how crazy some of our ideas are! It looks like it's just some scrap Styrofoam with a hole in the middle. I should try something similar out with some of the scrap of my Extra Firm foam I have. Should work just as well as an insulator. No...

    10 prong diode??

yeah i have one of those sitting on my desk. too lazy to take the PCB board off of it since there are two layers that the prongs go through. i pulled mine from an old cd burner

Can you mod a true 5 to less power?

Maybe try a resistor on one of the battery connections, like down in the case between the spring and the case. It would cause it to act like low batteries but without needing to tear it apart or using low batteries.

I got my DX 5mw green to cut a bag!!(no pot mod!!)

Re: I got my DX 5mw green to cut a bag!!(no pot mo DX 5mW are actually killer! ;D I got my 5mW to easily pop a balloon with a lens and tested it using a Coherent Field Mate to get a peak of over 15mW! It Steadied out around 13mW though. ::)

Possibly a GREAT 1/2 AA Sized Battery!

Yeah I didn't have too much time to look into them but I figured they were rechargeable because it was in an old computer, was rated for 3.6V and still showed 3.65V on a multimeter. Maybe if you could find a rechargeable version it would be great! ;D

Possibly a GREAT 1/2 AA Sized Battery!

I'm over at school right now working on a computer and we pulled out a battery from an old eMac because it was acting odd and I looked up the battery to see how much a replacement was. Turns out it was less then $10! But enough of that, that's the boring stuff. This battery is about half of the...

    Suggestions for repairing X105

Use it as a deathly bright green flashlight! :D But seriously, $40 for proper installation of the correct lens is more then worth it. If you want it focusable then make a cap that will go on the end to focus it.

    Fun with FOGGY SKIES!

I wish I had some fog around here but I live between the beach and a river so no luck. :'(

    about dx?will they resend

Everyone has said it but I will again. Get the True 30mW! They can do many of the same things and the price difference is where it's at. Calculated the True 30mW is the best dollar per mW ratio.
