I have a 1.8w 445nm laser that I bought from a member here that stopped working instantly. It may simply need one wire to be re-soldered to it's spot, but the diode may also have fried, it is all up in the air until the soldering is attempted and I don't trust myself to do it. I live in...

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen' Sorry for posting it twice, haha, I was on the previous page and refreshed it and the post kept not showing up so I posted it again before realizing there was a new page. Basically all that you see in the first picture was hanging out of the body.

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen' The lens was very tightly screwed into both he module part and the big heavy and loose focus ring, this caused the whole focus ring and everything attached to be loose and hanging off of the body.

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen' Ok, the way it was that the lense was very tightly screwed into the module, and tightly screwed into the focus ring (which was freaking huge and heavy). That whole part was just hanging there with no good way to screw it to the body.

Re: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with 'bhwollen' This is definitely a concern of mine. I WOULD like to just try soldering it myself, but I risk screwing up. I also risk not screwing it up and it still not working, in which case bw will just say i wrecked it through soldering.
