FS: Gatlin 100mW green laser foscusable/waterproof

It's definitely a neat looking host. But the lack of a IR filter is where I draw the line.

    Blue laser under $300

How does it wire into the host? I realize the heatsink will be either case negative or positive, but what about the other connection?

445nm Chrome leadlight pen host - 65mW *LOTS OF PICS*

Well, I just used up my first set of batteries. I was using it tonight and the power started dropping big time. I thought I had killed my laser from possible overheating, but I quickly realized it was just the batteries. So once the voltage hits about 6.35v it gets below the drivers...

    FS: Host + Heatsink $15

Great!! Yeah, I have never done a spring mod before and was worried there for a moment that my build would become more difficult than I had originally hoped.

    FS: Host + Heatsink $15

Oh ok cool. Thanks for the clarification on that. :yh: So instead of a spring on the module, I could just as easily wire the negative from the driver directly to the clicky right?

    Finished my first 445nm

Nice build! :gj: And yeah that looks like the same Guidesman 210-1004 flashlight host that Mohrenberg is selling. The silver host looks nice! So do you like the host, feel good in your hands? Good clicky? (reverse clicky right?)

    blah

Kendall was selling them for $20 shipped. http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/casio-xj-a130-projector-parts-w-o-diodes-sold-54858.html I'm sure everybody just remembers his asking price and made offers comparatively to his deal.

    Blue laser under $300

Beautiful looking host! How does all the wiring work inside that thing? Cause with most flashlight hosts, to connect a AixiZ module or even a flexdrive with a diode pressed in a module is about as easy as it gets. You basically just solder a few wires to the pre-made PCB board in the...

    FS: Host + Heatsink $15

I am still confused at how I am going to wire everything together. I understand the heatsink/module being either case negative or positive... it's the spring contact that I am confused about. Are the batteries +/- going to touch this spring, or is the clicky switch going to make contact with...

You can find Jayrobs kits here. Stuff like hosts, heatsinks, lenses, and extras. http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/jayrob-build-kits-lenses-other-stuff-listed-here-44227.html You can buy a 445nm blue diode here capable of over 1 watt...

    FS: Host + Heatsink $15

I don't understand... How will the AixiZ module connect to the clicky? If the module itself is case negative/positive, then the other connection would have to pass through the side-clicky otherwise it would be constantly on. So if the bottom of the AixiZ has a spring or contact.. then what is...

    FS: Host + Heatsink $15

Just shot you a PM Mr.Berg ;) I'll take a silver one! They actually look very slick. Black is so played out anyway, would be nice to have something different.

    My Latest Personal 445 Build

Not to mention the things I read, states that the green diodes will be something like 510nm. So the color will be slightly different then the green DPSS we are all used to. it won't be quite as different as the 445's, but it's something else to get excited about! :D

Acquiring 445nm diodes direct from manufacture.

Even if they have a product recall, they will make more that 'work'. :yh: They just don't stop manufacturing, cold turkey style. But that is good news about the replacements parts. I am not sure if there is any such law for the US, but there is probably something similar. If not we can just...

    FS: Host + Heatsink $15

Very nice! :gj: Those are definitely some big heatsinks! Should work out great for another one of my 445 builds! Oh and about the clicky, do you know if they are forward or reverse clicky? :thanks:

    My Latest Personal 445 Build

10% isn't bad at all, I thought it would be much more Although maybe it varies from pointer to pointer. Cause I have a little keychain green from o-like that was sold as a 25mW. When I got it, it tested at about 50mW on my LPM. I figured I got a overspec one, but when I compared it to my...

Acquiring 445nm diodes direct from manufacture.

Nice! :D I will be very interested to see what comes of this. Would be funny if they were priced higher than we can get them from a projector harvest, lol. Now are these going to be the same diodes Casio uses?

    1W handheld $170 - 445nm diode $20

Yeah, somebody else posted this site with the 445's a few days ago. Most everybody was skeptical of the site due to all the spelling errors and mix-ups with terminology and proper labeling. I wouldn't buy from that site personally.

Acquiring 445nm diodes direct from manufacture.

Well, there is always the XJ-A230, XJ-A135U, XJ-A240, XJ-A145U, and the XJ-A235U if the XJ-130/140 go away. They all probably use the same exact diodes. And I'm sure Casio will keep making different models. They could possibly be taking heat for the diodes being mis-used, but I really can't...
