I don't want to get involved in the fight but which type of projectors have the laser diodes (big or small does not matter) because I want to make a laser but i'm thinking it will be cheaper to get a broken projector then a bare diode. ps If I do get a cheap projector Ill sell them for the price...

i "work" with lathes mills and CNCs, also ya it gets hot after a few sec that's why i have it hooked up to a button not a switch, ps the battery is 400 mah and the chagers just one of those cheap ebay once they work good for the price i got 10 of them for $5

what is that bad?

well i did that because i think its actually a 2W diode because i found the same part # on a different ebay listing and it said 2W but the one i bought was only $20 and said 1W, but i am running it at 2W and it gets a bit warm

well there's a pot on it and when i tun it it gets brighter or less bright some iam gessing at full it can run a 2W diode and at low it can do a 1W diode so the Wattage is the amperage? sorry this is getting off topic, isn't that a rule or something?

ya iam actually a student at a tech school in machine shop so its not to hard to make i could do any destines or even knurling, but scene its summer ill have to w8 till i get back in school

i could make u a aluminum house with a brass heat sink with those spec for $75 but it would take me some time probably finish it by January
