can i just buy thermal paste and mix it with epoxy? i think that would be cheaper solution and get more out of what i pay

oh p.s i found some washers at home depot IBERVILLE - 1 In. X1/2 In. Reducing Washer - Bag of 10 - 8R4-CP - Home Depot Canada but its made of steel, will it still be able to transfer heat? and what size washers (outer diameter) do i need to fit C6 DIY Cree
