Wow, I'm really sorry for your mother :(. I hope she is able to heal. It's amazing that she didn't notice the eye wasn't working until later. The way the brain perceives what the eye sees is boggling to me. :confused:

Something like this: The cross hairs of course represent my center of vision. I viewed this picture about 2 feet away from my monitor and did my best to draw in my peripheral vision.

Just thought I would throw an update out there, as I haven't really been back to the site. The blind spot (scotoma) has not changed a whole lot, except maybe it's a bit more diffused whereas before it had a pretty defined outline. I can't really say if it's larger, but it's definitely not...

It's pretty much the same. I still have the blind spot, and was effectively told by the opthamologist that it would probably be there the rest of my life. That doesn't bother me TOO much, since it isn't very inhibiting.

Intentional or unintentional, deception is deception. However, I have my personal doubts that they are all totally oblivious to how bad they're ripping people off. Also, generally speaking, ignorance is never an excuse.:tsk:

Sorry, let me be specific. Most Chinese LASER vendors are fraudulent, in the sense that they often claim a laser is far more powerful than it actually is in order to deceive you and charge you more for less. We can play a little game if you want - you make a list of reputable chinese laser...

So far a whopping 2 or 3 good ones have been named out of the hundreds of bogus ones. I stand by my statement that MOST chinese vendors are fraudulent. Do you work for them or something? Why are you getting so worked up?

Ah, that clears things up, thanks. I tried to find info about them on my own but Google didn't yield results that seemed relevant. But no, I still don't hold any grudges against the 445 diodes. My laser apologized and we're friends again. :p
