    What goggles for white?

At 75mW of 650nm through the ML7 you would be looking at 0.75mW with OD2. I think they would work for your white laser. What are the wavelengths and the optical power of the 3 lasers in your white kit?

    What goggles for white?

Check out the OD graph on these from DragonLasers. I am thinking of getting these for myself because I will have 405nm and 650nm lasers, and want one pair of goggles to cover it all. They dip in OD around 532 though, but still block at ~OD>1.

    Buying a.s.a.p.!

I think he does want to build one. He's asking for a diode alone, so I bet he wants to do the whole thing from scratch - diode, aixiz, driver, host/heatsink...

    Buying a.s.a.p.!

There is a huge GB underway that has the LPC-815 sleds for $4.55. It's about half way there in terms of commitment already.

[DIY] Driver for 635nm diodes, 200mA~ Cheap! And my PCB making tutorial, Easy!

    I also tried 5V and 3.7V yesterday:) Below shown are mA/V for the test-load: 5V: LM317------130/3.0 LM78L05---200/3.25 LD1117-----500/3.25 3.7V: LM317------0/0 LM78L05---30/2.7 LD1117-----60/2.765

[DIY] Driver for 635nm diodes, 200mA~ Cheap! And my PCB making tutorial, Easy!

I bought LD1117 from mouser. I also have LM78L05 (TO-92) and LM317 (TO-220) chips, so I did a comparison for my personal education. I used a bench-top PSU to find the minimum Vin to put out 150mA into 4x diode test-load for each of the chips, Vout in all cases was around 3.1V: LM317 5.2V...

    532nm/650nm keychains with star cap

Re: FS: 532nm star-keychain - it´s your choice!! Let me be the first one to say I'll take the 40mW LPM verified pointer for $20 shipped to USA:)

    532nm/650nm keychains with star cap

Re: FS: 532nm star-keychain - it´s your choice!! Hey, what is the point of the random choice? Shipped to USA you want $18, but I personally would pay a little extra to get the 40mW. So let's say you do 40mW for $20, 32mW for $18, and 21mW for $16 - you still make the same $54.

    FS: The Apollo Kit

I'd like one! I still havent done anything with those 5 heatsinks I bought from you, besides practicing and killing my first 3 diodes:) I remember looking at this host on DX a while back and thinking, "Even if i had any means to make custom heatsinks, one for this host would surely not retain...

EXCELLENT DIODE PRESS TOOL if you can make your own attachment for it

I used pseudolobster's method. Works like a charm! I used pliers called Tongue-and-Groove, it's not as good as a vise because the pressure from the pliers is not parallel. What you do is press it a little bit at a time and rotate, repeat about 2-3 times:)

    My first build from scratch

There are 4 meters in this picture. 3 read the voltage parallel to the "load", which are the resistors; 1 reads current in series, it breaks the circuit and now all of the electricity is going through it. Like Toke said, just turn your DMM dial exactly 180 deg:)

    i have struck a problem....

Right-click on the image files when they're on your computer and click properties. In Windows click on the Details tab. You can see most of the important info here about the camera. If you open the image in most viewing apps there and right-click, or there might be a menu somewhere called...

    My first build from scratch

Carl, I just saw Kevlar's post and looked at your pic again. It looks to me like you do have the DMM set to measure mA, but you need mV. What you have there is measuring current through the DMM:) So you are prolly getting that ~100mA from the driver, it's just now getting split ~60/40 between...
