    home made LPM

Don't forget the most important part: you will have to calibrate any LPM you make. I plan on making a TEC LPM, and I also have an Ophir head I bought for $60. I will need to make an AMP for both, bought the boards that jib77 designed in that thread. I will most likely have to buy the $55...

LOC build in a project box

Thanks, flogged! Yea, those reds are hard to see, I have yet to try steam. With smoke the red beams look beautiful:) Nice work on the red! I'm trying to figure out where you got that heatsink... Is it a solid piece of aluminum that you drilled out with a 12mm bit?

    DIY PHR tripod labby build

Here is a build I just made using a PHR diode. There is a pot for controlling the current: 30-125mA. The unit is powered by a 9V AC adapter. A mini-tripod is used for mounting the laser. Total Cost $47: --------------- $10 PHR sled $5 Moh heatsink $2.5 Aixiz $0.2 4x diodes $0.7 LD1117 $0.5...

    >1w portable 445 laser with homemade driver (images and video)

Отлично! Excellent work! Happy to see Mother Russia represented on the laser DIY map.:) BTW, just something about the look of that heatsink makes me think it will come to life and run away.:) I love it though!

LOC build in a project box

Measured divergence now that I have goggles. This is either a very tight beam or I am doing it wrong:) Calculator: Laser Pointer Divergence Calculator Parameters: 5mm@0.15m, 8mm@8.89m Result: 0.34 mRad I have tried searching for more info on LOC divergence, but couldn't find anything. I was...

    Post your cat!

Saw that, Ped! I was wondering if she's the same as mine, but couldnt tell from those pics. They're called Egyptian Mau. BTW, Egyptian word for cat is mau, makes sense since they go "mau, mau, mau":)

sterling silver 10440 host (Definately sold now)

Re: FS: sterling silver 10440 host This should be fantastic for heat dissipation - silver has the highest thermal conductivity of all metals. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1e/Thermal_conductivity.svg

FS: Blue Hotlights Kit - $12.50

Re: FS:Guidesman 18650 Host+Heatsink $20 I bought a mini version of this host at Marshalls for $4, it's silver. The OD will work for it, but the length is only .75". I can make .85" work by unscrewing the head I think. Do you want to sell any of those .9" heatsinks that were too long? My...

FS: Blue Hotlights Kit - $12.50

Re: FS:Guidesman 18650 Host+Heatsink $20 Great! I have 2 of those and 1 mini of those, heads are the same though. I am pretty sure they are cylindrical the whole length of the head. Are the heatsinks OD=28mm, length=20mm?

LOC build in a project box

My DIY build isnt LPM'ed yet, I only list the current it's running at. There is a second 405 in my sig, the $9 one is ~30mW.:) I estimated it based on other people's results from the same seller, and also using an IR-thermometer method by Warske. I however do not trust the latter results...

Great use for those "star filter" pen tips

Looks good, Mojo! Good to see what you're doing with that lumia wheel of yours, and your "entertainment" room looks great with all these lights. You new adjustable AC powered 405 will be a great addition to the ceiling;)
