Its not focusable, and no it doesn't have good divergence. Both probably the only cons of that laser. So basically I wouldn't recommend buying this considering you are looking for long distances. the dot will be massive at the range. EDIT: oops wrong laser. sorry :whistle:

Yeah I looked at lazerer, but I hate the host for the 400mw version. Its a good price though. Ill think about it.

Yeah I was thinking of building one myself, but I like hosts with a keylock and shutter. Which would also be the problem with someone custom building me one too.

Yeah I was actually thinking of buying one of those from him. But I don't know yet, it would take me a while to get that much cash. definitely Best bang for your buck with that.

the brightest beam your gonna get in a reasonably priced handheld is gonna be ~400-600mw 532nm. But its not going to be real thick solid beam. Ive heard a very overspec laser bought recently hit over 1w of green, that would be very bright but still not quite solid. (price was pretty high on that...
