If you can get your hands on a LPC-826 diode, they work great for replacing a dead diode in the dilda. I learned this first-hand by shining it into sled optics and killing it w/ a reflection. It's long leads are perfect for the job. It's a LOC instead of the the original closed can type, but...

Received diode today, great shape, pins nice and straight. Is it wrong to stay at home on a Saturday night to build lasers? Not in my house! Thanks for the diode.

Received the diodes today in great shape. Nice to have long pins on the diode for a change. I burned out the diode in my dilda shining it through some sled optics, and its easier to replace with full length pins. Also i have an 0-like module that will be getting one of these. Thanks!

Thank you sir, the laser made it to Florida in great shape. A lot brighter than I thought it would be. I already had green and violet pens (IQS) so this completes the set. Not really bothered about hte wavelength, just happy to have a nice red pen. If I need a 632 fix I can fire up the HeNe...
