Nicely done and well documented. Just one thing for anyone attempting this is that the tube is partially made from beryllium ceramic which is ungodly toxic if it becomes airborne when broken.

Heh I was hoping your laser wasn't in that package. Last summer my 589 from CNI took over a week to clear customs. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I guess I got spoiled by UPS' in-house customs that cleared my package from JetLasers in under an hour.

Nice setup. I wish my cylindrical head had a nice long umbilical like that. Mine only has a short 2-3 foot one that makes positioning the head a royal PITA. Too bad extensions are non-existant.
