I sent my gatling to GSS to be tested and told him the batteries go in positive toward the tail. He said it was unusual for a blue laser. I was just curious to see if yours was configured the same way.

Does yours take batteries with positive toward the tailcap?

It's the sharp 405nm I got from DTR. The driver is set to 1A for ~1.5W according to DTR data.

As far as getting duped on 30w yup. As far as a $40 laser it's not bad. I have one. I like it. If you like the gatling style host (I do) I'd say you were duped but not screwed. Just make sure you have the proper safety glasses and do yourself a huge favor by reading the safety thread on this...
