The only person I sympathise for are those unsuspecting laser "newbies" who are captivated by Wickedlaser's marketing tactics and spend loads on their products. And I show contempt for those who have the intellectual ability, who knows about their tactics but still swear by their products... ;D...

That's why they have Red lasers to go with guns. They're mainly diodes, no delicate crystal alignment for you to mess up.

Thankfully I waited for about 5 months, after doing some research before deciding to purchase an RPL. Moment I went into LC, saw lots of people RMA-ing their laser, that put me off straightaway.

I'm interested to know if anyone's tried modifying a maglite with more than 1 LD though I'm not sure how it's gonna work... ::)

I don't know of any reputable laser companies located in Europe. The best ones (handheld, that is) seem to originate from the West. Since you're talking about the UK, how about have someone from the UK (which I'm sure lots of the members are from), act as a middleman and send you the laser...
