Yea, I need to get this 4.2V module properly metered... because my old 30mw module pulled 330mA and this "200mw" one is pulling 488mA. I'd love to post pics, but it's pressure fitted in a host, and I don't think i can get it out. Any ideas on how i can get this module properly tested?

My higher voltage module pulls 488ma and has been working perfectly for close to a total of 4 hours running time. Sorry to hear about the failure of your's Alfa Romeo.

yea... good thing the proper chargers came in, but when i did use that charger, it was very closely monitored and i didn't let it charge for more than 30m to prevent something like that from happening. Thanks for the sweet video about Li-Ions exploding too.

OK! finished modding everything to make a fully FUNctional charger with indicator status and revised first post with different instructions.

the host was hacked away from a previous "experiment" which is why i needed to replace the module in the first place. and the ground wire isn't soldered to anything it's just used to push the module against the host. I know it doesn't look pretty, but it works! thanks for the feedback.

well after powercycling the phone a few times, it finally started up and it just says "Invalid Battery", but it still charges it, so it's all good. EDIT: never mind, it stopped charging, I guess i'll have to replace the cell in the original battery with these wires..

nice job packaging it, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to get the laser. i'd give rep but it won't let me give you rep twice in a row. also i think you accidentally shipped a lens type thing with it because I found it in my shoe ~2h after opening the package.

just got it installed and it looks sweet, just took a bit of DIY to get it to press-fit itself

Just purchased a green laser module from photonaholic and was wondering if it's case positive or case negative, Imgur gallery, I'm thinking it's case negative, but can anyone confirm or deny this. and if it's case negative, how can i make it case positive to work in this host i have. Thanks!
