    Can't Decide Between The Two

...so "not a fair comparisson to 50mW" sounds promising,.,much brighter then! My "500mW" model from Dino Direct is putting out 70mW unfiltered and between 50 and 60mW with IR filter - depending on supernatural forces I can't quite understand...the batteries I'm guessing... :) If you are...

    Can't Decide Between The Two

How long did it take for shipping? Rather, that is if you are in the USA, since O-like is in China (I think). I have an LPM, thankfully...though I wouldn't have needed it to see that the last laser that claimed to be in the 200mW range was really in the 30mW range... I've wasted a lot of time &...

Battery Pack options for Dual 445 A-140

I will be building another test load so I can verify that I'm not going to fry anything. And I'll be ordering some batteries tonight... I've seen some information on here that helps a little but it's not the thread I stumbled upon in the past that had the same set up.. but I'm not too worried...

Battery Pack options for Dual 445 A-140

Thanks for the suggestions, I am intrigued with the prospect of driving two off the same driver - I think I've seen a thread on here with someone doing that...I'll go check it out.

Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

I actually bought three of those about a week ago :) I don't know if an aixiz module and that heatsink is better than the 1" solid aluminum heatsink I've got the diode pressed in already and more of an issue than this is that the finned heatsink (I'm using one on the project table right now)...

    Can't Decide Between The Two

I tested the battery and it was reading 3 volts. But after reading that review I have to wonder - is my 3volt battery supposed to be charged to 4+volts - and is this likely the reason I got a low reading? Even with a battery @ 3volts shouldn't it still be higher than 28mW? I would have...

Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

Schweet! Actually - with fresh batteries She launched up and peaked at 755mW :) I've got to investigate some miniature refrigeration device...or I can use my knowledge of pipefitting to make a miniature chilled water system... Little by little... cad602

    Can't Decide Between The Two

Just got the #200 laser and I am returning it unless someone can convince me that there is a way to unlock it's secret potential. It came in at 28mW on the laserbee. Turning it on I could tell right away it was weak. Maybe I got a bad unit. I wrote the seller a message requesting a refund...

Battery Pack options for Dual 445 A-140

Just to clarify, I want to be able to use the same battery pack to power two of the same diodes (445nm a140's) - with a separate LM 317 driver circuit on each diode obviously - for at least a few minutes at full power, much longer at lower powers....and I'm hoping someone has used Lithium Ion...

Battery Pack options for Dual 445 A-140

I'm figuring out how long I can safely run my diode with a solid 1" Diameter aluminum heat sink, and while I'm figuring all this out I'm looking for a good battery pack option that may be better than what I'm using. My driver circuit is the typical LM317 based one, powering a 445nm (A-140)...

Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

Kind of related, kind of not...and this is not about a green laser, but I finally have a laser that is putting out well over 500mW! It's my 445nm A-140 powered project box "host." And it is now able to put out up to 589mW after making it so I can switch between ten 1ohm resistors in parallel...

Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

Yep, Jeff helped out in my other thread in the green lasers forum where he told me about that seller. I was of course skeptical noticing the <5m in description and Jeff patiently told me about that sellers way of stating power was to put it in tht title (ie- #200) - I then filpped a coin and...

Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

I just bought this laser and I'm going to love it, even it I know it's not the best I can do. But it will be here in 5 days or less! Next I need to learn about what a mode is (mode hop?), scatter (I think I understand that), and divergence. Sitting here watching the boy do karate leaves...

    Can't Decide Between The Two

I've just completed an Impulse buy on the #200 happiness inducer. If only the #300 had been just a little lower! I have one more IR filter lying around that'll go on after the first test.... That seller has a few other things I may end up getting also. Thanks for shining a light on things...

    Can't Decide Between The Two

Hey thanks, but I have a green Laser putting out 60 - 70 mw (with IR filter) already and I really want to get as close to the 200mw mark on my laserbee 2.5w LPM as I can... and that auction claims it's less than 5mw. Is that a wink wink typo? Cad602

    Can't Decide Between The Two

Thanks for the information! I actually just learned this company is in China - which is fine, except that I really want a "high power" green laser in under a month. I actually am expecting a few things coming from price angels and dino direct... and Having ordered from them both before, I...

Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

I've seen the same host a few other places, but for a lot less, and with some other brand's name on it. What I'm relying on is that it's claimed to have 175~200mW and that O-Like seems to have a good reputation...all indications is that the host has that same DIY module - power rating is the...

    Can't Decide Between The Two

I didn't do a good job summarizing (and still probably won't) So, the specs are: Green 200mw (or close!) Either in a Host or DIY module with collimating lense. Only want to add a battery. <$130 Preferrably in the USA but Outside the US is considered. Cad602
