There is a good review in this thread of several handheld laser pointers - dollars per watt. If you're really interested in reviewing lasers, make sure you have a power meter and a IR filter. I can't find the thread right now, but perhaps one of the other forum members can post it? K

Welcome! Post pictures when you get your laser. The forum has people from all ages and backgrounds, so you fit right in! Be SURE to be careful though. Sight cannot be restored!

Both have adjustable focus. Surface mount components.  These are really small, so you can fit the whole circuit on a board the size of a quarter (or dime!) Check the buy/sell section - there are several for sale now.  There are also several companies that sell them (see laserglow for one)...

You're telling me!  There are so many companies, but most of them just sell cheap (chinese) junk.  Check out the stickies in the buy/sell for reputable companies (and discounts!) (fixed quote)
