I need a favor from someone in the US, UK or ireland (ebay item)

Nah, you don't remember correctly, Spain is in the very north of africa, everybody knows it. J/K, it says he ships to europe but look at the "Shipping an payments" page... Oh surprise, he ships to europe but... Excludes: Africa, Asia, Central America and Caribbean, Middle East, South America...

I need a favor from someone in the US, UK or ireland (ebay item)

I am building a robot and I need some motors. I found these on ebay: 2PCS 12V DC 1000RPM Torque Gear Box Motor For flywheel - eBay (item 290460123254 end time Aug-31-10 22:07:28 PDT) Which are just CHEAP and I'd love to buy them but the seller doesn't ship to spain so.... Anyone from the UK...

    Pepsi or Coke?

Coke for sure. Pepsi is just too sweet. But the best soft drink ever is orange fanta.

    How We All Started.

Oh well, my story begins with a video seen on youtube of a green laser. I posted a coment on that video and I started looking where to buy a green laser like that. I saw 240mW green laser pointers on ebay, but as I always do, I tried to get informed a bit about what I was going to buy. I found...

My LM3410x based Boost converters: Spark driver! PART 1

Well, it has a switch rated for 2.8Amps, it doesn't mean it can source 2.8Amps of continuous current. Currents switched in the coil are bigger than average current delievered to the load (at least in boost mode). Having a 2.8A switch means that it sould source up to 1A or so. My highest current...

My LM3410x based Boost converters: Spark driver! PART 1

I actually haven't read the whole thread, just a bunch of posts, so don't really know what happens to your driver. Having a schottky with higher Vf will just compromise efficiency a bit but shoudn't affect output stability, as long as it can withstand the currents involved it should be fine. We...

    Switching driver for 445nm diodes

We all need moar power I guess xDD I'm also trying to find the perfect IC for drivers. LTC3454 has just EVERYTHING someone would want for a 445... except for the current.... It's buck-boost, it has selectable power, it has soft start, it has thermal, short and open circuit protection, it doesn't...

    Duration of afterimages?

Bah I guess I could send vaccum-packed ham wrapped with aluminum or lead foil to avoid getting caugh by customs' dogs or RX scanners... Every single pig killed in spain gets analized and is discarded if the vet says it's not suitable for human consumption. Even people in small villages have...

My LM3410x based Boost converters: Spark driver! PART 1

You don't need superduper capacitors for those drivers, just what the manufacturer recomends. And you don't want to use tantalum capacitors or things like that, the high switching frequency of these ultrasmall converters makes them like ceramic ones better. But you need good ceramic capacitors...

    Duration of afterimages?

Oh well, I'm in Madrid and we don't have "dehesas" where black pigs spend their lives exercising and eating acorn here. So serrano ham produced in Madrid and surroundigs isn't the best of Spain. But we're pretty close to Salamanca and Extremadura and being the capital of Spain we can have...

    Switching driver for 445nm diodes

Okay, my driver is done and working. Stable 800mA for now (cound't turn the potentiometers higher before the test load diodes were almost fried and the potentiometers I use are a pain in the ass to adjust). Running for like 50 seconds and NO heat in the driver. Well, to be sincere, around 40ºC...

    Duration of afterimages?

Oh c'mon, around 80% of information coming to your body enters through the eyes and you only have two. Isn't that a good reason to care about them? I have my 445 set to 350mA right now until inductors arrive for high powered driver and my routine is: -Certified ARG goggles on -Laser on -Aim it...

    Switching driver for 445nm diodes

Good to know! My inductors should have already arrived so I guess they'll arrive early next week. I'll post testing results. I have some 0.6mm thick copper foil and I could use it as driver heatsink to go up to 1A. Could you post your PCB files to see how your driver is?

would it be a good driver?

Driving LED's might be safer than driving laser diodes, but when you work for serious applications you must design your IC's so they don't make nasty things to the diodes even if they can withstand them. Most LED driving IC's do have protections such as soft start which makes them totally safe...

    Switching driver for 445nm diodes

I have access to an oscilloscope so I could test the voltage, current or whatever. By the way, it's not the first switching driver I design and test, and I can tell you that if you properly design the PCB (most issues come from there) they give a really stable output, with ripples in the tens...

    Switching driver for 445nm diodes

Well I've bought a couple of 445nm diodes recently and I've designed my own switching driver to power them. I've used this integrated circuit: Linear Technology - LTC3454 - 1A Synchronous Buck-Boost High Current LED Driver With this coil: Free sample request It should give steady 800mA to the...

    WTB - 50k / 20k ohm SMD potenciometers

I do have 47Kohm miniature SMD potentiometers (a bunch of them), but i think they are WAAAAY too small (2.5x2.5mm) and hard to adjust. Btw they're not hard to find at all. Just search at digikey, they are extremely cheap (well, shipping costs might screw things up considering you're in croatia...)

A140 445 Diodes for sale, NOT a GB!

I think one will be for me. $45 shipped to spain? Oh, and i've been out of this forum for some months now due to exams and university and all that stuff... I've tried to read as much as I could in the 445nm subforum but can you answer me some quick doubts? A140 diodes are also ~1W ones right...
