    My Handheld 3 Axis Scanner.

Here's the standstone 40-50mW module in the 3405 host, plugged into the scanner. It works like a dream! I'll post some beam-shots when I get a chance. It's going to be a fun Halloween ;) cheers, kernelpanic

Jayrob, Got my heatsinks yesterday. They are perfect. I'm using the 3405 for a green module I've got. The other will be a blu-ray... I'll definitely be ordering more. Thanks Again, kernelpanic

    My Handheld 3 Axis Scanner.

The motors are cell-phone/pager vibrators. I'm still perfecting the mirrors. Right now they are acrylic cut with the laser. The center-hole interferes with projection. I think I need to do each mirror in 2 pieces half as thick, glued together. The back one will have the center-hole. The front...

Simple Adjustable Laser driver (V. 2) It Works!!!

Re: Simple Adjustable Laser driver (V. 2) It Works Thanks for the info on this. BTW are you using my circuit or yours? I've mostly gone at the start up delay by increasing the values of the cap on the pot and the cap across the LD, thus increasing turn on time. But I like your approach. Mind...

    My Handheld 3 Axis Scanner.

Mixed feelings. Out of the box it mode hopped. I pot-modded it down and it only held TEM00 at the very bottom range. It was too dim to run the scanner. So I thought ***k it and turned it all the way up. If you note the picture of the guts, the mount is a 1/2" shaft collar with set screw. As soon...

    My Handheld 3 Axis Scanner.

Hello All, This is one of 2 3 axis scanners I've just finished (with some help from my trusty assistant...) Just thought I'd post some pics. Enjoy! This one is the scanner with a Dorcy 40-50mW green from Standstone in it. cheers, kernelpanic

Has anyone tried these lenses with their PHR?

I say sell 'em here. As long as buyers are aware that they are spherical lenses I see no problems. Those that want a 'clean' dot won't buy them. But for a burner they'd be great... And you could recover some of your R&D costs. ;) (I'd definitely be interested in buying one or two myself should...

Has anyone tried these lenses with their PHR?

Thanks fior the info. I figured the 10mm focal length would be a deal breaker. But I did find modules that'll take the lens. Glad I didn't bid/buy as I've already got half a dozen of these lenses, LOL :P Thanks, kernelpanic

tillmann, The second pic is a bit blurry. But it doesn't look like that driver has an adjustment. cheers, kernelpanic

Hello All, Found 405nm collimating lenses on ebay- http://cgi.ebay.com/Bluray-Laser-Diode-Collimating-Lens-405nm-407nm-AR-CTD_W0QQitemZ320307489493QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item320307489493&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14 Just wondering if anyone...

Simple Adjustable Laser driver (V. 2) It Works!!!

Re: Simple Adjustable Laser driver (V. 2) It Works Thanks for the interest. I've actually done the second build of this circuit. The first one broke a lead while I had it apart to measure current. Then I created a solder-bridge trying to repair it and blew a diode... Being a prototype I'd...
