Using lasers to suture (weld) skin!

I'm sure the optics one would need are a bit more advanced than what we're used to. It sounds like one would need to keep the skin exactly at the focal point of the laser. Also, suturing without burning could be an issue as well. I'd grab a couple of bunnies before you tried it on yourself...

Using lasers to suture (weld) skin!

Hey everybody, just saw this on engadget-> http://www.technologyreview.com/biomedicine/22088/ pretty cool stuff. Looks like a 532nm... ;D cheers, kernelpanic

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

Step by step reconfigure IIS- That's why I said not to change the other settings. From Microsoft's site- So don't change settings you don't need to and double check before clicking 'Finish' and you'll be fine. You only need to fiddle with the IIS settings. If you're nervous, check out...

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

No. SBS has it's own config wizard that MUST be used. It's called the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard and you can get to it from Server Management. It sets up all of the services and ports the server uses. Don't use the normal Nertwork setup wizard on SBS ever. It'll break...

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

Um, what? 2 computers cannot share an IP. It must be unique. At any rate the next thing to try is to run the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard on the SBS server. Make sure the sharepoint service is enabled and then try to get to it again. hope this helps, kernelpanic

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

O.K. Have you applied the KB832330 update from Microsoft?- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/832880 Also What does the IIS properties show for IP/port of companyweb? And finally, what happens if you go to- http://companyweb/default.aspx or http://companyweb:444/default.aspx cheers, kernelpanic

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

404 means that you are connecting to the server but it is unable to provide the page. Do step 1 from my previous post and get the IP/port of the companyweb server. Then try putting that IP into the browser like- http://<IP>:<port> If companyweb comes up, then you need to go to DNS and make...

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

O.K. What happens if you do http://companyweb:444 instead? cheers, kernelpanic

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

So when you try to open companyweb what URL are you using?

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

O.K. That is a clue. Are you running a DNS server on the SBS server? If so is it the built-in MS one or is it openDNS? I ask because it sounds like openDNS resolves only internal sites and youe non-openDNS settings resolve the internet but not the LAN. This points to DNS issues. To narrow it...

    Whos Used SBS Company Web?

lamborgini8, The first thing to do is right click the broken link and go to 'properties'. Ensure the URL is valid and matches the hostname. Then, open a dos command prompt and type 'nslookup <servername>'. Try browsing to the IP address instead of the hostname. post back your results...

anyone seen these and how are they used

The YVO4 does(Neodymium). The KTP does not. cheers, kernelpanic

anyone seen these and how are they used

They're frequency doubling crystals. In DPSS green lasers they convert the 1064nm IR to 532nm green. You would get these if you want to experiment with homebrew DPSS. cheers, kernelpanic Actually the second one is YVO4 which turns the 808nm IR into 1064nm. Then the KTP would do the...

    vacuum tube or transistor???

Tubes all the way baby... Here's the pitch circuit for the subminiature tube theremin I'm building... (That pic is old. The pitch circuit is done. Now the Volume control is on the breadboard ;) ) cheers, kernelpanic

    Adjustable Micro-Driver and 803t Questions

O.K. Thanks for the english datasheet. It is a logic level mosfet. The phrase '4-volt gate drive' is a dead giveaway... cheers, kernelpanic

need major help with my battery problem

Check the voltage on the batteries that don't work. If they are dead you have a short. If they are still charged, you likely have a bad connection. You can also check the off resistance of the host. (remove the batteries, connect a multimeter set to ohms to the driver's input leads. With the...

    Paradox machine FS

It's a vertical motion detector with a narrow (10 degree) viewing angle. It's designed to be placed over doors and only trip when someone is directly in front of the door... cheers, kernelpanic

    Adjustable Micro-Driver and 803t Questions

It probably doesn't help that the only datasheet available for the 2sk1112 is in kanji. ;) The 0.3 ohms you  see with 4v on the gate will drop to 0.15 or so with 10v on the gate. Whereas with a logic level mosfet minimum resistance occurs around 5v... Since the 'on' resistance of the 2sk1112 at...

    Adjustable Micro-Driver and 803t Questions

Positron, As I said the 2sk1112 will work. There also should be no real difference in dropout either way. I use logic level mosfets so that the regulator circuit can fully open the mosfet's gate. Why? So that when the battery gets too weak to provide the set current, the regulator will open the...
