Re: FS: BLU-RAY w flexdrive in blue host $130
most of the hosts have a lip on the top that holds the glass or acrylic lens in place. the diameter of that hole is what your'e measuring not the inside diameter of the head. i will post the exact dimensions as soon as possible for you...
Re: FS: BLU-RAY w flexdrive in blue host $130
yeah ill measure it with my micrometer tonight. just out of curiosity, why is the size of the heatsink important??
you can upload you pictures to something like www.photobucket.com or www.imageshack.com and then post the link with the IMG tag in the front of it.

Up for sale is a very compact BR laser set @ 130mA (will post power graph soon). it has a PHR-803T diode in just the aixiz head connected to a Flexdrive. it also has a custom heatsink made for this host and in the assembly i used artic silver TC just to get good heat dissipation and fill in and...
i can sell you one of these kits for a 3 motor spiro. i sold one to jake21 and it has everything but the laser and project box to put it into if this is something that you are interested in.
i would take the components off of the board and use it as contact for the host and battery to connect to driver (DDL, flexdrive, rkcstr, etc.). not to use boards as the driver itself. just contact points that go on the end of the heatsinks.
here is the link for DX. it is a 20 pack for >17.00. it averages out to around .85/ea. i think they are 17mm if you wanted to bore out a lip on the bottom of the heatsinks for them to sit nicely in...

be careful of what you ask for. some people might think you are cooking meth for your "science experiment". you can get iodine from most farm or pet supply store. they use it in horse pastures so the horses' hooves won't get infected. there is an extraction method of getting the iodine crystals...
i know how to get the straight line of the laser beam, but some of the videos i have seen looks to have a wave effect when the liquid sky is shown on a wall. anyone know how this is done. all help appreciated.
drew has some nice hosts with matching heatsinks if you have a flexdrive you just need a diode and batteries
