    DX is fast

DX is extremely sporadic for me. Sometimes it ships within a day, other times even when it says the order is "ready" they don't ship for a week or more. Right now my browser can't even find their server! ::) DanQ

    803T $8.00 Usa only GB

Re: 803T $9.50 Usa only No, Wes, it hasn't been that long since your last shenanigans - that was in late November, which according to my calendar was just 2 months ago. Bad start, misinformation on the first page! You are either being too careless to be trusted, or are being too dishonest to...

is my new BLU-RAY DEAD ????

right - I posted that because not everyone will have a tube of the right size; but everyone mounting in an aixiz module has an aixiz module ;-) But I definitely should have added that the tube is better.

is my new BLU-RAY DEAD ????

you can also use the bottom part of the Aixis module instead of that bicycle part - with the little hole on the end surrounding the diode leads - just be sure that it is centered properly, and stays centered during the squeezing. DanQ

    268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! (With FlexDrive!) - Awesome!

Re: Key Chain Blu-ray... With FlexDrive! re: negativity- but what about just making a tiny board and mounting on the cells - that is, turning non-prot cells into protected?

    Power Meter Calibration and Comparison

Wasn't Kenom going to do a re-check before they head across the water? Not to adjust them, just to measure them to see if they've drifted.. and also because there was some discussion about one of his measurements being significantly different than others'. Or did that already happen or become...

Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital pot)

Re: Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital Right you are! the micro is only needed if you want some other bells and whistles. ;-) DanQ

    268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! (With FlexDrive!) - Awesome!

Re: Key Chain Blu-ray... With FlexDrive! ummm... why not just make some tiny prot boards for the little batteries? Too thick? There are sot-23 chips that need only a few sm parts to work - circuit below for the first one I saw.  That chip is just a bit more than a mm high. DanQ

    268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! (With FlexDrive!) - Awesome!

Re: Key Chain Blu-ray... With FlexDrive! Couldn't we just make one? anybody have a circuit diagram? it would be cool to just build it into the build, so to speak ;-)

Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital pot)

Re: Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital I don't understand what you're proposing - could you post a circuit diagram? or I suppose I could just wait to see if you get it to work... DanQ

    268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! (With FlexDrive!) - Awesome!

Re: Key Chain Blu-ray... With FlexDrive! (butting in here to answer because I'm up late too... ) Yes, you can - not sure about size factor though. And I don't remember where I saw them - one of the battery websites I think - maybe Powerstream? am I helping? ;-)

Blue Ray Took A Little Nap Tonight  ESD????

Re: Blue Ray Took A Little Nap Tonight  ESD???? I don't mean to discourage you by what I posted; but to work with stuff like this you need to understand that there are reasons for the values of the parts. If you can't get the right parts, you need to either know how to figure out what else will...

Blue Ray Took A Little Nap Tonight  ESD????

Re: Blue Ray Took A Little Nap Tonight  ESD???? I'm afraid that is your main problem. why did you think a 10k pot would work? if you don't have a 1-ohm resistor, but do have a multimeter, you can just use the multi's current measuring; it's not as good but better than nothing. DanQ

Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital pot)

Re: Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital yesh, I've figgered that out ;-) amazing how primitive our own scope of knowledge is/was just a year ago, eh? a lot of neurons under the bridge since then ::)

Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital pot)

Re: Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital Prototype - Feb 12, 2008 - check it out EDIT: 10uf output cap works fine. EDIT2: I know, I know... that's a Very primitive current-reg... I'll be doing it differently now ;-) the link above is just the first one I did EDIT3: erdabyz, I'm not...

is my new BLU-RAY DEAD ????

The white LED's should light up when attached to the driver instead of the laser diode. As with the laser diode, the LED's polarity is important - so if it doen't work at first, try reversing the LED connections. If the LED does not light, then there's one more thing you can try: adjusting the...

Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital pot)

Re: Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital Yes, the current-regulating portion needs a sense resistor. But in the circuit that I made, the pwm changes the duty cycle, not the current. I guess you could say the average current is being varied, but the actual current is at any given moment...
