    Camera style lens replacement

watch out for them, they can really nail you for shipping multiple items! When I ordered several lenses, they charged me their regular rate for each one! I did see that on the checkout page... but figured it would get adjusted as so many other eBay sites do. But even after I emailed to ask...

405nm AR glass lenses - fit AixiZ  FEELER

Re: 405nm AR glass lenses - fit AixiZ  FEELER sheesh - pages and pages of people posting their desire to buy something, they don't know exactly what... man, I've got to figure out something to put up for sale here! ;D DanQ

    Lens for phr803t diode?

me too! I like to give new folks the benefit of the doubt, but this i s nuts - every question in this thread could be answered by a simple browse thru the first page of topics in a couple of sections! I know I disagreed with you Jerry in Milan's case, but that was partly situational and the...

any lasers that can be used as a flashlight??

I don't know why Cyparagon's computations showed little brightness - was there an error, or are you misinterpreting the usefulness of that output? Because I've used my 200mW red as  a flashlight - just changed the focus to widen it, I think it was about a 6-foot diameter spot at around 30 feet...

My laser beam has no power! why?

kkt, as to power: I just shined a 200mW red laser on my hand from 2" away, beam diameter about 3mm... did not feel hot. You cannot judge a red's power by feel, because your skin does not react well to that wavelength. BUT - I do not focus my 100mW blu-ray on my skin! that stings right quick...

Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital pot)

Re: Adjust your laser's output on the fly(digital Ive done it with a 10uf cap on the output, and it dims very nicely. Didn't have a scope to look at it to seee whether it was averaging or still fully pulsed though... you should have a bleeder resistor across that cap - say, 1K to 4.7K - then...

How to use a multimeter for measuring a current???

Re: How to use a multimeter for measuring a curren funny... I was just thinking about levitation - interesting, how they are so alike...  :-?   ;) DanQ

    Take it to PM's

what's a "rep point"? ;D a.k.a. if you need to care about rep points, that's sad - because they are meaningless when anyone can give them for any reason. They are just a game that some people play. I see that I have 16; others have nearly 10 times as many. So what? :) DanQ

How to use a multimeter for measuring a current???

Re: How to use a multimeter for measuring a curren suggestion for Lasersbee: take a Tylenol or something - you're just provoking normal defensiveness. suggestion for Milan: stop defending yourself - you're just encouraging him. To the point: the voltage-across-resistor is more accurate most...

    268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! (With FlexDrive!) - Awesome!

Re: 215mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! - With FlexDrive! Thanks Jay for answering another pesky question... I'm trying to keep up with this topic because am very interested in tiny builds - but sometimes having trouble summing it all up. Your kind responses much appreciated. DanQ

    268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! (With FlexDrive!) - Awesome!

Re: 215mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! - With FlexDrive! oops... dumb post... (or dumb as a post?) so replacing it with a question: Jay/Igor, what is the final size of the innards of these small builds, after your drill-outs, where controller and battery etc can go - Length x Diameter? DanQ

    Batteries

yeah. you could just hard-wire it if it's one of those cylindrical 3-battery holders; save-a-dowel or whatever ;-) or you could change to a different driver, and see if a single 18650 or something will fit in the chamber instead... DanQ

    268mW 6X Key Chain Blu-ray! (With FlexDrive!) - Awesome!

Re: Key Chain Blu-ray... With FlexDrive! that's funny... earlier this morning I was going to send Jay a PM to ask where he gets those stickers - I didn't know they were being discussed already. So... Jay, are you printing them, or buying them already made? DanQ

    Batteries

A spacer can be made of almost anything stiff enough to hold up and small enough to fit the battery compartment. cardboard, wads of paper, plastic, section of a candy cane, a stick, dowel, acorn (CR123)... probably not mashed potatoes, but maybe a raw one... don't forget carrots, they come in...

    DX is fast

yeah, I've been splitting up my orders for a while... it's silly to need to do that, it would be far better for them too, if they would just post whether or not things are in stock - truly, that is - and live up to their "policy" to ship what items are available, when waiting for some part. But...
