Best way to buy industrial-type lasers?

eBay is definitely a good bet. I know there are a few 532 CNI’s on there right now. If I remember correctly some 500mW’s, 1W’s and even 5W’s. The prices on there are pretty reasonable honestly. You’ve got a 1W for $300 and a 5W for $2,500 brand new! :) -Alex

    Need Info 505nm & 520nm !

It does appear to be 505. Back when I had a 520, that color and 532 were almost indistinguishable apart from having the camera pick them apart. If you can easily tell it isn't 532 then it more than likely is 505. Then again, everyone's eyes are different but I wouldn't assume it would matter...

Want to try blue (445/450nm), wondering how cheap I can get in.

450 is a nice color, yes, and definitely isn’t in everyone’s collection. Have you considered getting into yellow lasers? Those are stunning! :) -Alex

Want to try blue (445/450nm), wondering how cheap I can get in.

I’m aware of Laserland selling some 450nm lasers in that pen style host for around $10. While the quality may be the same, I would trust buying those type of lasers from a trusted seller rather than eBay sellers. :) -Alex

FS: [SOLD] Dragon Lasers 589 nm, 50 mW Spartan hand-held

Hm... maybe asking to pick out the best unit of the remaining stock is a better option though. If he is willing to test the power make sure to ask for average output, and not simply peak output. It is a shame at least in this regard that LG stopped selling their higher powered handheld 589’s. It...

FS: [SOLD] Dragon Lasers 589 nm, 50 mW Spartan hand-held

I think your best bet is one of the remaining 589 Spartans from DL. Many people have gotten lucky with their 50mW models and got easily above the 85mW’s you are searching for. Maybe you can contact DL and ask them to handpick a unit that matches what you seek? :) -Alex

    Happy Birthday Hap

Thank you everyone! I managed to perfectly time the shipping and received my 650 Atlasnova laser today. It's quite a nice unit, and I never heard of this company until I stumbled on a thread talking about it from 2012 when someone posted a review. I appreciate LPF and all it's new and veteran...

    Newb needs help

Yes. They would all require an IR filter to prevent any IR leakage. Not sure about the % of IR they would leak being higher or lower than a standard 532. Yeah! 404 is interesting, but it is almost never talked about. Honestly, the color is identical to a standard 405 and the only reason I could...

    Newb needs help

Yes. Most of the common DPSS wavelengths you'll see around LPF such as 473, 589 or 593.5 all depend on IR light to generate the final output. When compared to a 532 however they require a much stronger IR pump diode to generate equal power output, due to a less efficient process. If anyone...
