Why don't we make laser pointers backwards?

An interesting idea, but not entirely necessary.. You could just lengthen the front a bit and use spatial filtering. As pictured above, you would need to use both a mill and lathe to make that host so for most, it would be a task and a half. With spatial filtering, you could use any center...

    Zombie attack in Miami??

The one I was referring to happened in 2007. 21 victims including a pregnant woman where they removed the unborn baby.. The most disgusting article I have read to date. The video IIRC was only one of the victims, an older man and a random unprovoked attack.. Dnepropetrovsk maniacs - Wikipedia...

    Zombie attack in Miami??

Well you have the 'zombie' attack where the guy ate 3/4 of a homeless guys face and we dont know the full reason of why it happened.. Then you have this guy from Toronto living in Montreal who obsessed about serial killers, killed cats and video taped it, then moved on to murder, eating some of...

I'm $183 in the hole thanks to this company. Confused. Anyone know who they are?

Re: Relief LLC? I'm $183 in the hole thanks to this company. Confused. Sounds like a return for repair that got mixed up with another package by the sender. Either that or you just got trolled.. Does the laser work?

    Zombie attack in Miami??

LOL, I didnt watch it, reading about it was bad enough. There was another video floating around called 2 guys one hammer or something like that.. After reading what it was about, there was no way I was going to watch it. Some things are just better off unseen. The story is more than enough to...

    Zombie attack in Miami??

Been following this story... What a gruesome incident :barf: jwudMNsZ6vY In Canada, some dude filmed the dismemberment of a guy after ice picking him, mailed a foot to an Ottawa political party, a hand to another, and tossed the torso in the trash. Its said that body parts are still missing...

    I just don't get it....

Doesnt make much sense.. Listed as a 20mW so there must be something special about it. Specifications: Model No: GLG5414 20mW max 632.8 nm And that listing shows (for me anyway) 480.$ shipping

473nm CNI lab power supply + TEC adjustment?

I haven't tried playing with the TEC on these, so that I could not tell you.. A simple solution though may be to add a trimmer in series with the feedback from the thermistor? IIRC they are 10k and a quick setup should verify weather or not it would work.. Are you looking to cool it down more...

Is it possible to make custom diffraction lenses?

Appears to be a growing franchise :anyone: xbVifPkbYsk Now that sir, would be too bold

DIY Green He/Ne Build. Mellow Yellow DPSS Hybrid

I guess it took the path of least resistance to my hand... It was brief and the old 7mW leadlight kept on working.. still have it in fact. As suggested, I would think it would have to pass through the diode in order to cause any real damage... Just dont ask me to confirm this :D

    Pesky BenBoost Drivers

Re: Pesky 12x diodes I had numerous discussions with and old member here when I began using the 3410 a couple years back.. I had 30 or 40uf originally and that was for a phr running at 125mA.. He laughed at me :undecided: I ended up with 100uf plus ceramic caps (cant remember the values) to...

    Laser Lighter

Perhaps I should have read more carefully  Also, if you plan an enclosed area, the chlorate residue from matches will leave tons of residue.. You will have to clean your optics near every use no matter what the positioning. The lens from the projectors cost nothing if not free...

    Laser Lighter

Links??? Threshold of a 445 is around 250mA, and wont be an effective burner under .5A at minimum. Unless the tobacco is really stale, a PHR wont do much good. I smoke, and have tried many lasers for lighting cig's. 100mW is pretty much useless.. I have a 120mW 405, and while it will scorch...

    Pesky BenBoost Drivers

Re: Pesky 12x diodes If you're looking to suppress at a low current like 200mA or less, that may work.. Theres been extensive testing on that IC by a few members here, just keep in mind that the specs given in the datasheet is in relation to LED's.. Conditions for sensitive LD's especially...
