Re: 1.9W 445nm SH-032 (New :) No, the pill is threaded into the head of the host in this case. If you unscrew the top and look at the contact board on the outer rim you'll see 2 slots, one directly across from the other, these are there so you can unscrew the entire assembly with a spanner...

Re: 1.9W 445nm SH-032 (New :) The diode is firm in the module which Is held in the heatsink with a grub screw , if you tighten the lens until it bottoms out in the module and then some, the whole assembly backseats and becomes loose, too much teflon on the threads will also create resistance...

I prefer aluminum anyways... doesn't hold heat as long, not as dense as copper and hardly a need to clean.

If the lense popped out that easily send it back to get fixed.

I have a 110v c-frame motor I pulled out of an old freezer, when my mirrors arrive I'm building a time tunnel and liquid sky projector I've wired the motor with switches and shaved a plastic fan blade down to the hub. Should keep it balanced shaft wobble kills motors. Edit: 1500 rpm's is too...

C.L.R. and steel wool works great, just be careful the C.l.r. is hyper conductive. (ive tricked a few water probes in industrial ice machines with a dab of the stuff)

The glass lense popped out of the lense nut? I think the glue is just there to keep the lense focused, can you take pictures? Edit: just tell Frank that there was something on the lense and you lightly tried brushing it off... Boom, it broke, he should be able to help.

Your saying that your lpm sensor reflected enough of the beam back into the lense that it burned it? The recommended distance from the aperture to the thermopile is 1 - 6" plus the lense is recessed into the host a good 1 1/4" if not more, check the underside of the dust cap, maybe you turned...

I was thinking about getting a 300mw green but I got a lpm instead. I can't wait to see if my lasers are overspec, if my arctic is over I'm thinking I might sell it. Too bad you can't keep this one its nice.

Re: 1.9W 445nm SH-032 (New :) I used to have a Matthews solo cam I wouldn't mount a laser though I have 3 pins set for different distances and I wouldn't really know how to zero in the laser.

It gets warm so yeah it soaks up some heat. It's machined so that it butts up to the face of the heat sink obviously there's not a perfect transmission of heat from the sink to the adapter but it does make good contact.

It packs quite a punch. How much of a punch you say? I'll know as soon as my laserbee II gets here :wave:
