    2W 445nm SH-032 (New :)

Re: 1.9W 445nm SH-032 (New :) I got the ultrafire 4000mah 18650's and they suck :( I just use my Sanyo 18650 from WL. I've got 16340's and rcr123a that don't go to any of my lasers lol. I used to have a need for them but now I might just use them in my ophir lpm.

What happened to my laser/lens? :'(

It looks good, the only thing I can say is I've taken apart a 3 element to clean it and if you resort to that make sure you use a microfiber cloth or electronics cleaning pads for tv screens and whatnot. Also don't forget order of assembly. Edit: I guess use a more conservative duty cycle as...

I thought you tapped the window out and that was that. Did you go digging around in there afterwards?

What happened to my laser/lens? :'(

I've read that you can bend up the metal rim around the window with some fine nose pliers and the window should fall out. Otherwise buy the tools.^^^^ we all know what Bob vila says about having the right tool for the job....

Referring to post #3... Your skin isn't going to absorb a long wavelength such as 808nm, at least not at these outputs.... even a 1 watt 638nm won't burn the skin but cuts down anything dark colored. IR was a bad idea.

What happened to my laser/lens? :'(

Dave had a good answer ^^^^ if a lense cloth and compressed air doesn't do it then you really don't have much of an option. - D.

What happened to my laser/lens? :'(

He probably tried cleaning the window, didn't get everything off and turned it on baking the crud onto the diode window.

What happened to my laser/lens? :'(

There's junk on the window, if you can't get it off removing the window is the only fix.

What happened to my laser/lens? :'(

There's an artifact dead center in the diode window that the light passes through, I think that's what the spot in your photo is. I'm sure you could put the lense in a vacuum chamber to boil off the alcohol. If worse comes to worse you can remove the diode window. The debate continues on the...

    House Fire

Depends on where you go and how old the structure is. Newer houses have exterior walls made of cinderblock and cement with iron rods for added support. Houses in Florida have to withstand hurricanes with minimal loss, houses in the Midwest are built with tornadoes and snowstorms in mind, so on...
