    Li-ion alternative for a 3-triple-A pack

Depends on your voltage and current needs; One of these 18500's will work well for driving a 445nm with a high current boost driver. Or you could use 3 10440's in the stock battery holder, with a buck driver.

    KenoMeter Pro-USB / Eagle Eye™ Development Project

Fractional input, just not fractional output. Lol

    KenoMeter Pro-USB / Eagle Eye™ Development Project

What do you mean by that? As far as I can tell it seems like fractional input works, unless I have misunderstood.

    Custom Digital Ophir LPM

Cool lpm I built and programed for myself: Lpm has 2 buttons One button zero's the output The other button turns the backlight on/off The LPM automatically Zero's itself when turned on It has a built in lithium ion battery. It can charge the battery while datalogging :) This is possible by...

    Coherent Fieldmaxii TOP

It looks like that sensor has a broadband coating, if it does then it will get accurate measurements for 445 and 532, actually it should be accurate from 190nm to 1100nm http://www.coherent.com/products/index.cfm?fuseaction=popups.ShowAttributes&ID=703

SOLD: Scientech 365 with 380101 head

Nice LPM with 4 ranges up to 20W. I just calibrated the unit. It shows <90% of the output almost instantly but takes a while to get fully stable output. Other than some aesthetic blemishes, the only issue is the Watt / Joule button. It will sometimes get stuck in Joule mode, So I recommend...

DIY Thermal LPM for under $50

Is it just me, or is that picture half real and half generated? I have something very similar in the works. What would you need with 24 bit resolution? that would give you microwatt resolution. You could affect the reading by thinking to hard lol.

    Problems with test load

With a round driver the middle circle is battery positive, and the outer ring is negative. Do you have that right? Mabye you have the diodes backwards, try fliping them around

GB: 4$ heatsinks, 1.5$ aluminum modules AND more!

I just noticed this on paypal: 1 brass screws 3 $0.11 CAD 0.001 kg Canada 2 aluminum heatsink 2 $2.00 CAD 0.03 kg Canada Is it a typo, or am I getting aluminum heatsinks? Also a warning to people buying the Small Sun flashlight's, The ones I got from DX only fit a 15mm driver, so it...

CLOSED: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale That isn't a bad option, but an ophir setup like that isn't very portable. 9V batteries are a pain IMO. and most cheap voltmeters are not acurate down to the mV. And ophir heads from ophir cost $700. even in bulk they cost 250ea the ones on ebay are...

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale Got it in a trade with MarioMaster, (He was the maker of the Alpha's right?) Maybe It was an RMA or somthing.

CLOSED: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale I would like to point out that i took my radiant alpha apart to day, I found the the power switch and the lcd were both held in by what apears be hot glue...

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale Thanks for the responses, good to know they should sell fairly easily for a bit less. Also if there are any vets out there with the equiptment to test these, I would be happy to pay shipping both ways. Interested in wavelenght linearity, power...

CLOSED: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale "Warning - Do not impale lpm with drill" But as far as i know, 18650's dont catastrophically fail due to over-chargering ect. Lipo's clearly do.

CLOSED: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale My 18650's have a built in protection pcb + an external charging regulator. Also from expierence, Lipos are more dangerous. Try to find a video of an exploding 18650, now try to find a video of an exploding lipo...

CLOSED: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale Lipo's require aditional protection circuitry. Didn't want to deal with it. The battery is fairly secure, and even if it did come loose there isnt anything for it to short out with, and if there was a short, I would rather it be an 18650 vs a lipo. The...

CLOSED: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale

Re: Prototype Analog 3.5W+ LPM's for sale I honestly fail to see the problem with hot glue, It works Radiant Alpha's were under priced at 125$ They sold so fast they couldn't even keep them in stock and to get a laserbee that can measure a 3.5W laser would cost over $600 And they don't even...
