    Focusing Flashlight Beam?

The actual Reason you cant focus an LED is because the emiter on an led is not a point source, the different colors only play a small role in your inability to focus an led. An led's emitter is ~1mm a lasers emitter is like ~10 micrometers, 100,000 times smaller. Meaning with the same lens...

    Are these goggles OK?

I would bet an apple that they are not OD 5+ like the listing says, If they were, you woundn't even be able to see a 400mW 660nm laser dot... But still, they should work fine

638 correction with only 2 lenses?

Would this work? With a small Cylinder Lens sitting right on the diode? Is this how a FAC works? The angle of the wider axis is 35 degrees, and the narrower one is 7.5 degrees Is there a simple calculation of the the focal length would need to be based on getting 7.5 degrees to 35 degrees?

    Need to fix: 800mW laser

WTF?? I responded to a thread... Edit: He said he had a broken 405nm Laser, and posibly wanted to convert it to another wavelength, Edit Edit: Ha! look at the title of my first post, it says RE: and I havent edited that post!

    Osram Announces PL TB450 - 1.4W 450nm (±10nm) TO56 Package

They seem to be slightly weaker than an M140, with slightly better fast axis divergence

    18650 charging circuit

You can omit the 470 resistor and led if you dont want a status indicator Chip will do 500mA max 2k resistor sets the current at 500mA Charge current = 1000V / RPROG You also wont need cap across vbat, since your battery will allways be connected

HELP: mixed the OSRAM 450nm laser diode & LED diode

Here is a link with a small explanation of the difference between laser diode and led Laser Diodes It does explain that lasers diodes use lenses But if he still doesn't get it with a coustomer like this, it might be best to just accept a return and give him a refund.

    OXLASERS Ripoff Report?

I would guess the red may actually be 200mW or close to it, that isn't hard to get, Green is probably something like 50mW-100mW Never mind, I thought you said you had one... If you have a multimeter, put it in 10A mode and measure the current at the tail cap. We may have a better idea based on...
