okay now the last thing i am stumbled upon is the shaft type. It has to have the little indent for the plastic wheel to stay secure. the radio shack one is a smooth all round shaft, how would i make it fitt ?

Well it's not that it takes 30 seconds to change the pot its that i was trying to figure out which pot to replace it with. cause this thing was made in 1985 so it is really old. Nick,Aka HumanSymphony Has the same keyboard as me.

Yeah im just gonna go to RS and get a 10k Pot, but is it linear or which one ? ? Here is another pic showing what the potentiometer serves its purpose. its the one on the left, the right goes up and down for the pitch bend.

Okay but i don't get any measurement at all, and i even tried 20K setting. Would just buying a 10k Pot to test it out hurt anything ?

ok it if if put the + and - leads on the outer pins, it dont get a reading, but when i put it on the inner 2 it does get a reading these 2 it does get a reading

oh shitt.. it wont even turn so i have no idea !! let me try the other pot which is the same but it twist's left and rightt

Ok on my Multimeter set to the ohm setting the potentiometer Ranges from 11-13 ohms but then it stays steady at 12 ohm. This is using the 2000k setting on my multimeter.
