Yobresal thanks for giving me a ray of hope :) I tried a couple more 18650's (cheap unbranded & unprotected ones) and a couple of my protected AW 's (tight fit!) and its still a dim IR laser :( it was a long shot as it worked for its +-10min life with the battery that came with my dilda in it...

Mine has now died... after less than 10 minutes total use its now a very dim IR laser :(
