    Romisen L-A030 30mW Mini Green Laser (CR123A 3.6V)

Re: Romisen L-A030 30mW Mini Green Laser (CR123A 3 i bought one of these and am wondering if the light output is supposed to be dim when you turn it on cold? it its turned on cold, it only emits a dim Infra-red output for a second until it starts turning green and finally gets bright a few...

    Idea: photodiode power meter?

or hook a mutlimeter in 200uA mode to it. basically they suck. so what kind of sensors are in those ebay ones. and where do you get them, apart from ebay?

    Idea: photodiode power meter?

don't worry, there is a very handy law which relates voltage to current across a resistor. i think we will be talking about output currents of about 100uA (from the photodiode), so a 1K resistor across the photodiode will give 1mv per 1uA which would be suitable for the voltmeter you mentioned...

    2 AAA Ni-MH or 1 Li-Po adjustable LASER driver

I changed the case for my burner. now its in a film canister. and there is room left over. i prefer this to the mint can because the laser housing can't short out to gnd. and it is easier to have the lens mounted outside of the container a bit for easy adjustment

Using a DC/DC converter to power the laser

what, do you want someone who can get free shipping, to get national to ship a few to you?

200mw diode driver for aixiz housing

the smd lm317 probably won't handle 200mA without getting hot. it will be disapating more than 360mW. try designing it with a low dropout regulator

BLuRay mod #2.  1xAA boost circuit.

Re: BLuRay mod #2.  1xAA boost circuit. that looks exactly the same as the one i have, and posted about ages ago in the ' Using a DC/DC converter to power the laser' thread

    drivers (yet again)

that circuit is the driver... however, it would not be very stable, and the current would change with different input voltage you would need a proper voltage reference to make it work properly I think...

My first home made Laser Goggles and Host!

Re: My first home made Laser Goggles surely it would pass some red, just not enough to blind. I mean whats the point of goggles if you can't see the dot at all? I am going to see if i can get some scrap aqua or blue perspex from the sign supply place

    2 AAA Ni-MH or 1 Li-Po adjustable LASER driver

Ok. thanks for that. those led's would be very useful, i was thinking of also using then with my model planes to show when the lipo is getting low. one across each cell would also show if the pack is unbalanced it would be great if you could send a few. maybe 5. I would pay you for it

    2 AAA Ni-MH or 1 Li-Po adjustable LASER driver

when i search that number it says Unfortunately, 'the desired product can not be displayed.' I only really wanted some more info on it, and its name... i was hoping to search for it locally

    2 AAA Ni-MH or 1 Li-Po adjustable LASER driver

well i found a case for it :) i have it running off a single ipod nano (1st gen) lipo, probably about 300mAh. the laser is in the home made heatsink i mentioned before, which is wedged in the can and insulated from the can with electrical tape. this probably allows a bit of heat transfer to the...

    2 AAA Ni-MH or 1 Li-Po adjustable LASER driver

sweet! free shipping on everything i just ordered a Romisen 30mW green and some cr123's i still need to find a case for my new 3410 powered burner, oh and i tried it, it does work from 2 ni-mh's, for some reason the first one i made didn't, maybe i damaged the chip when i powered it with no...

    2 AAA Ni-MH or 1 Li-Po adjustable LASER driver

I haven't tested the voltage limits of this one yet. as for the pot, i don't know... you like the heatsink? I made it today from a short piece of copper pipe i had. i used a dremel to accross the pipe 3/4 through and then cut that part of the tube open. i used pliers and a vice to flatten that...

    2 AAA Ni-MH or 1 Li-Po adjustable LASER driver

ok i connected it and it works! its set at around 300mA, so i am not pushing it too hard i would expect the output is around 190mW. the noise from the smps plays havok with the TV :P enough to be really bright, and light black powder i need to find a 1/2ohm pot to make it adjustable another...

w00t. i now have an open can from another 115d that did survive. i will try it using my sepec board soon
