    A tough subject to photograph!

Well, the lighting was a flash in my softbox and the shutter speed of the camera was 1/2500th of a second. At that speed the backgroung is black, the walls behind the match were white, no background was used. Just a high shutter speed. Well I don't have an RPL yet, but soon. And lasers won't...

    A tough subject to photograph!

Why can't you photograph the blue ray laser? Is the color balance off or is it too far in the blue spectrum to where the cameras sensore renders it a different color? Thanks for you comments....... AND FOR THE RECORD, I CLICKED THE LINK! Oh man that so funny...you got me. -T

Got it today! :D (New style 200mW)

Well I noticed the Pot on the circuit board, can't you just turn that up instead of higher voltage batteries? I have not touched mine and I plan to leave it alone. Turning up the current from the potentiometer will increase the mW as well. I don't see any posts where the 200mW laser owners have...

Got it today! :D (New style 200mW)

Right! The lasers do look like LED flashlights. I just tested, actually compared the red laser from O-Like with one from Wicked Lasers and the O-like seems twice as powerful. I colored a black spot on the back of my hand and the O-like 200mW gets hot immeadiately adn the WL red takes 10 seconds...

Got it today! :D (New style 200mW)

A pre paid VISA is a good idea. You should get one of these, they are great. The laser and the batteries/cahrger were all in the same soft pouch. It all came at once. i was expecting seperate packages but it was nice to see them all in one shipment. Either way you could always get the batteries...

Got it today! :D (New style 200mW)

Hey dudes thge laser is not IR it is the glasses I was talking about and how they do not let the 650nm light pass through, they completely cut it out. They should allow at least 10% pass so you can see where you are pointing.

Well as for the goggles, I have the blue ones from Wicked Lasers and the goggles completely eleminate the laser. You can not see it at all through these things, just where it is burning. So they are goo protection, but you can't see the spot at all.

Got it today! :D (New style 200mW)

What is the significance of the lens you are talking about? Does it have a better coatings or better glass? I thought higher power will destroy the diode? I suppose you get more mW's out of the laser? It is the new style Red as seen here: http://www.o-like.com/b2b_cpinfo.asp?id=971 -T

I never said they were all bad, just maybe some. I guess you just need to know who to buy from. Almost everything we own is made overseas anyway right. I do realize you get what you pay for.....so why do you all call thei thing "Dilda" anyway? Because of its shape? LOL

Got it today! :D (New style 200mW)

Well gang the new style 200mW red laser showed up in the mailbox today. This thing is really cool! It burns like crazy and boy is it BRIGHT! Need glases for sure. A quick review: Purchased From O-like.com The laser is smaller than I thought it would be and the head focuses really smoothly...

    A tough subject to photograph!

Well the noise is from the fiant smoke in the air as the jpeg is lowered in quality for the web. ISO 640 on the D3, noise is non existant. Heck ISO 4000 is clean. So the only way noise is going to be in this photo is from the downgrading and stretching the gamma of the photo to bring out subtle...

Opto 170mW green laser quick video

Hi .3lite...... I do not have anything to check the current draw from this laser with. I can email Jack, CEO of Optotronics and ask him, he would know. Sorry but I just have a standard volt meter to check battery voltages etc. If I had to guess I would say 350ma...? I'll see what I can find out...

Hi. The Milky Way photo you are asking about was done by attaching my camera to a telescope mount and using the mount to track the sky to allow for me to take a five minute exposure with no star trails. The Mount is the Celestron CG-5 NGT series. Here is what the set up looks like...

    Lithium Batteries are Awesome!

Yeah i knew that a volt meter would not test the load, I figured you all did too. Thanks for the info. -T
