I can't yet recommend any particular model, but I can say this from experience. Stills: Your best with fully manual, focus, iris and ISO. Video: Avoid auto-focus like the plague. They hunt endlessly. I bought a Cisco Flip recently, good camera for the price and damn handy. Useless for beam shows...

The standard lens has a black plastic housing/tread. The coated glass lens has a metal thread, not black more a dark brownish finish. The lens looks coloured in certain light. I ordered mine in an Azis housing. It came fitted to the housing with plastic lens. The glass lens was supplied wrapped...

Does anyone have any advise re bringing lasers back from China in your luggage? I am off to China tomorrow for 2 weeks business and factory tours, I am hoping to pick up some laser parts if I find anything.

Ah, the abstract generator is a PITA. You cant just open it and create abstracts, rather you have to open an existing abstract file and modify from there. I spoke with the developer, he has not touched it in a long time and was surprised people actually use it! What version of the manual do...
