IM LOST FOR WORDS!!! I ordered the scanners from Spacelas, through lasershowlily, on 1st of september. DHL just called me and asked if I was home to accept the delivery TODAY! Thats 5 days from when I ordered till delivery. And thats all the way from China to Denmark. Lily was super...

    Question about DIY Scanner build

Lily has several selling posts. I just send her a PM asking about prices etc. Considering the wait for a gb and the actual price I paid, the gb isnt worth the wait imo. I will update this post with shipping time and pictures etc once my package arrives. I bought the 40USD DAC from LaserBoy and a...

    Question about DIY Scanner build

Lily works at SpaceLas so the prices she is giving us should be the same. For a set of PT-30K its 170USD + 35USD shipping charges. The shipping can vary depending on where they are shipped, but for both the US and Denmark (where I am at) the price is 35USD :-) Best regards

    Question about DIY Scanner build

I actually think I will have a look at the 30k Spacelas ones. I <3 beamshows, but it would also be nice to be able to do animations and such so instead of having to upgrade shortly after getting the 20k ones I might as well get a set that can do both from the start. Is the Spacelas set as...

    Question about DIY Scanner build

Thanks a lot for your reply Things. My budget is not really that limited and I am in the process of changing my 405nm with a 455nm to get a bit closer to that blue color :-) The main criteria for this first build was that I wanted to make as much as I could myself learning as I went along...

    Question about DIY Scanner build

Hello all :-) I am currently in the progress of making a rgv laser scanner. There are a few things confusing me and I was hoping that someone could help me with a few questions that I have. Currently I have made a RGV laser with TTL on each laser driver (You can see it in the heatsink link...

Cheap Heatsink for scanner projects etc

Hi Xero. It didnt take long tbh but at first I build a 3 channel driver but that caused me some problems due to isolating the diodes so went for 3 x single channel instead which i messed around with for quite some time. I did the same with the mirrormounts, first i made them using a plastic...

Cheap Heatsink for scanner projects etc

Hi NME, thanks for your kind words. I will try my best to answer all your questions, but if I miss something just counter post my reply ;-) First of let me outline my experiences with mounting on an MDF. One of the reasons I choose this medium as base is that this is purely a diy hobby for...

    FS: 1.8-2W 445nm Maglite 2C Laser!

Still dont go balistic m8, its just a discussion. So terms like looking stupid is not very constructive. As I said im not trying to make you look stupid and I am sorry if i offended you in any way, that was not my intention.

    FS: 1.8-2W 445nm Maglite 2C Laser!

Ok so you obviously cant discuss without going to the red field. What I read from your post was a generalization on the term copyright. Im not trying to pull you down or anything and as i stated in my first post it might be different when it comes to products ie. patents etc. I guess you didnt...

    FS: 1.8-2W 445nm Maglite 2C Laser!

Again a bit wrong m8. This is directly copied and pasted from the U.S Copyright Office: What is copyright? Copyright is a form of protection grounded in the U.S. Constitution and granted by law for original works of authorship fixed in a tangible medium of expression. Copyright covers both...

    FS: 1.8-2W 445nm Maglite 2C Laser!

Im sry to say it but you are wrong. Because a design is posted in a public forum does not make it public domain. I am a software developer and if I post some of my code online I still have the intellectual copyright without me ever having to fill any sort of apllication or form. On the other...

Pay to repair laser with <15 min of use?

I agree with FlamingPyro, indeed it is a good idea, and that is exactly what happened in this thread. Had any member with a little knowledge seen the sales post Sparkles made before he actually sold anything then I am certain he would have been confronted with his outrageous claims and use of...

    FS: 1.8-2W 445nm Maglite 2C Laser!

Sparkles if you sell a build kit you can sell as OEM, if you sell diodes the same is valid. What you are selling is a complete and assembled product which is a different story. You can not use the word OEM to neglect your responsibilities as an OEM manufacturer. Had you sold the host and diode...
