WTB: Non-working DX200 red "Dilda" laser...

Anyone have a non working DX200 Dilda and wanna part with it for a reasonable price? Doesn't matter to me if the diode/driver is no good. I just want the barrel. If you have one post or PM me its condition (paint etc) and your price. Thanks

    RPL-equivalent lasers preorder CHEAP

If any of you new guys are considering this deal but wondering how pseudonomen137's customer service & support is in comparison to some of the bigger companies, I can tell you this... Its top notch. As good as it gets! He's a great guy to deal with. If I had some extra $$$ I'd be all over this one.

MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids.

Re: MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids... I'm actually using two RCR2's which generally charge up to 3.4v each. Even at a full charge, the best I could get was 145-158mW. I probably could've switched to the 3.6v rechargables like you have and it might have started regulating, but in order to do...

MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids.

Re: MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids... I bet you're right. That did cross my mind when I was taking the dilda apart.. But rather than take a chance on it I decided to go ahead and put in the proven long open can. Now we just need someone to swap out the stock dilda driver with a...

MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids.

Re: MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids... Crap, I wish I would have kept the one I accidentally crushed from my Dilda. It would've been perfect to disect in the name of knowledge since it was already half crushed. But I already chunked it in the garbage. :( You're right though. They are...

Re: WTT 532nm laser shades + other stuff for open Done, :) Traded with TheMonk, so this stuff is no longer availible.

    Nevermind, already traded.  8-)

MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids.

Re: MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids... True, would be nice if it were possible to just buy the dilda barrel without the internals.. But I don't think that'll ever happen. :( Look at it this way though,, if you already own a DX200 red, this is a $34 upgrade (driver & open can) that should...

    Micro-Drive laser driver by rkcstr

Re: Micro-Driver laser driver *NOW ADJUSTABLE* I'm having an output problem that I can't figure out.. I have the adjustable driver set at around 420ma (powered by 2 RCR2's). I put everything together and it worked fine, powering my open can to 242mW. And then later when I turn it on again I'm...

Re: MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids... ;D I almost named it "DildaZilla". :P

MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids.

Re: MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids... You have to remove the diode from the board in order to get the little brass ring that holds the diode in the heatsink off. Pretty easy to solder it back on though. Unfortunately I dropped the stock diode in the floor and when I rolled my chair back...

MEGADILDA - DX200 Red on steroids.

Here's yet another affordable option as a host for an open can. You'll have to tear apart a $43 DX "Dilda" laser in the name of more power but its worth it IMO. I think the DX200 (Red) makes a great open can host because there's plenty of room on the inside for mounting whatever driver you...

Another review of the Laserbee 1000mW Power Meter

Re: Another review of the Laserbee 1000mW Power Me N/P. Yeah they do seem to be fairly accurate. I noticed in Daguin's review that it was very close to readings done on another thermal meter. It may not be as accurate as some of the high dollar units but for the hobbyist like us, I think it...

CNI 150 video (matches and tape).

Thanks guys. I'm pretty happy with this one.. Its noticably more powerful than the previous one I had (old one was 154 average 160 peak), plus this one doesn't have any mode hopping issues like the first one. Styropyro, Yep ours are almost identical! Pretty neat! :)

Another review of the Laserbee 1000mW Power Meter

I received my Laserbee power meter a couple of days ago and I have to say I'm very impressed with it. I got a nice deal on it (way less than retail) in exchange for some future website work for the guy who sells them. Before I ever got the unit I spoke with Jerry (the owner of Laserbee) on the...

+1 on that. Radio shack helping hands are worth their weight in gold when it comes to soldering these small parts.

    CNI >150 from pseudonomen137 (aka A1 Lasers)

No complaints on my end. And its a well deserved review. ;) I think I paid around $345 if memory serves (about 55 dollars less than what Nova sells the X-150 for which is the exact same laser). I got it on a group buy though, so I dunno if he has any more availible at that price?

    CNI >150 from pseudonomen137 (aka A1 Lasers)

I had originally purchased my first one of these from Carter's (pseudonomen137) preorder that he had set up a few months ago.. The specs on the first one was 160mW peak & 154mW average.. I was very pleased with the laser until it started having mode hopping issues.. So I contacted Carter and...
