Fog machine. Put the fog machine behind a running fan. Then it becomes a hazer, which disperses the fog evenly to make nice uniform beams. :beer:

I totally agree. Once some mentioned which pictures were theirs and some info how they were made, I noticed the pic's votes jumping up.. Definately should be anonymous. Most members have a good idea who's are who's anyway.

If your glasses allow green light through, then youu are correct in assuming that the reading will be *slightly* off. I do not know any formula, seeing as every set of glasses may allow different amounts of 532 through. This is why most prefer to use an IR filter.

I've never tried the outer spring, but I'll give it a whirl and see how I like it. :)

I've seen clean 445 outputs with vey little side splash and others that have a TON of splash. I suppose it all depends on the diode, just like some diodes have that "window" next to the dot. :cool:

How did you say you tested for IR? Hold 532nm blocking glasses in front and look for dim red?? Please be careful doing that. Depending on the glasses, they probably do not block IR. To test for IR, hold the glasses between the laser and LPM. The LPM will get close to the IR trasmission...
