Crystal alignment is very tedious and difficult. There are some members who do build their own, but it isn't easy like soldering a driver to a diode. Here is a new, interesting, crystal setup that may look promising and make 532nm laser building somewhat easier...

I have no reason why the prices are like that, but it is very common in chinese gadget sites. I have seen stuff for sale with the same exact item# for three different prices on those sites too. :confused:

If the laser is a dpss unit, the cold will make the output less, due to the module not being able to heat up and stabilize. As far as diode lasers; in my experience, the colder the laser is, the higher the output. I have seen a 445nm handheld put out significantly higher power when left in the...

Two weeks ago, he was taking orders and was waiting for the order of driver boards to come in. He did get the boards in and is building them to order. I got my drivers a few days ago and I ordered mine right after he ran out of boards. So, there might have been a waiting list for built drivers...

You mean so that you turn the crown to focus the laser? Yea, that is a cool concept. I actually made a custom machined assault crown/focus adapter for a member about 6 months ago. Sorry for the slight threadjack, Fiddy. I love the smooth look of your build. :)
