    SOLD: 5 @ 445nm >1W

Re: FS:3 @ 445nm >1W This is just too good a deal to pass up. I'll take one. Time for some instant gratification

Nichia High Power Blu-Ray Diode Now Available!

I had a dumb moment and chose a conductive tweaker to adjust the current and shorted out something... else I would probably be still using it :-[

FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod - 31% Increase vs AixiZ!

Re: FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod-28% Increase vs Aix Yea, about that... ::) Your comment led me to do more comparisons. I do get more like 27% plus if I switch lenses quickly, and re-measure. This may be temperature related. I just did a quick compare at first that was less than accurate, I...

FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod - 31% Increase vs AixiZ!

Re: FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod-28% Increase vs Aix Got the new lens a couple days ago, quicker than I expected, thanks. The only snag was the diode not pressed fully into the housing. Once that was done, it focused fine. My 6X was outputting 230mW with an acrylic and jumped to 280mW with the...

Nichia High Power Blu-Ray Diode Now Available!

I purchased one of those Nichi'a's from Susie about a month ago. It has since died an untimely death, but I got a graph or 2 left. Here is the Current/Voltage/Power for the one I had - Power is After the acrylic lens:

    Guilty even if innocent?

Sorry to be so negative, but this kind of stuff really pisses me off! [smiley=angry.gif] [smiley=angry.gif] [smiley=angry.gif] http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/5043261/Anglers-arrested-after-shining-laser-beams-at-ducks.html

FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod - 31% Increase vs AixiZ!

Re: FS: 405-G-1 Glass Lens Mod-28% Increase vs Aix Wow jayrob, this is Great! :D I would like to purchase one of these babies from you. Please send me the payment details, if you can spare one. Either way, +1 rep to you, man ;)

How long does an idle dilda last?

Put it away someplace where it won't get tuned On accidentally, and 2 years later it will work just fine. Trust me! 8-)

    Star Wars Mosquito Laser?

Yea, I'm sure it can be done in the lab. But one has to wonder what kind of laser can instantly cremate a mosquito, yet be safe to animals and not start random fires! ;D ;D ;D Even with pinpoint focus, it takes hundreds of milliwatts to zap bugs. So, you're walking along and a mosquito flies...

    Dilda mod parts from O-like

I have one of these! It is exactly the same dia as the dilda, but the threads are nowhere close to even touching. It would have to be glued in place or an adapter made to attach it. It is a very nice module, though, and has the screw-in holder for the diode. It might look something like this...

    O-like Nichia100-120mW CW rate 405nm laser diodes

Re: O-like Nichia100-120mW CW rate 405nm laser dio Oops, was sick for a few days :P The Nichia didn't die from the test. It was a conscious decision to use a metal tweaker instead of the plastic one, and I shorted out the wrong thing and put 500mA through the diode! It got quite bright for a...

    are t803 diodes isolated

Generally it is probably best to connect the case to either the + or - lead to prevent it from "floating" which could make it susceptible to static discharges.

    O-like Nichia100-120mW CW rate 405nm laser diodes

Re: O-like Nichia100-120mW CW rate 405nm laser dio I bought one of these diodes from Susie and managed to collect a little data before finally killing it accidentally.. :-[ Here is a Current/Voltage/Power out (After acrylic lens):

    Dilda Schematic!!!

Thanks Manuel :D Sorry for any confusion, the chip is a "boost converter" (LM2731) but I used it in a sepic style circuit with DC blocking. So, you are right, it is not boosting at all, since it runs off 4-10V! As for the linear regulator - Would you believe - running a red from a SINGLE Li...

    what of theseTwo10440should i buy?please advise me

Re: what of theseTwo10440should i buy?please advis I think you mean mAH.. Yea, if you wanted the protected version, the LC 10440 is the one - it has less capacity (500mAH) than the unprotected one (600mAH). I just received my order for 4 sets of these yesterday, and they sent me the Wrong...

    Dilda Schematic!!!

Thanks. Two are Bluray, two are still red, but with boost regulators for better efficiency. .. Only, I have just been testing a LDO linear regulator that is cheaper and better than my boost driver! I'm pretty exited about this one. I will be posting a schematic of it soon... ;) Thanks for...

    Dilda Schematic!!!

Almost all the current IN is applied to the LD. About 10-15mA are used up by the rest of the circuit. So efficiency is dependent on battery voltage, and is worse as input voltage increases. If R1 is reduced to 3 ohms or less, the circuit regulates just fine with those green 3V DX batteries...

    Dilda Schematic!!!

From the picts in your link, the pot looks to be in perfect condition, I can see the adjustment slot - it's just a cheap, open type trim pot, the trick may be finding a tool to adjust it with ::)
