My Senkat diode makes a really nice dot. Even unfocused @ 3' on the wall it's a nice circle. The LDs that comes with the AixiZ modules are not a dot, more of a bar. Unfocused and large it turns out to be a large bar. The BR LDs (ones I've seen) are a bar also with some light around the other...

I popped my 1st BR.. Was measuring the the mA with a DMM and the wire came loose for just hair of a second, then the light went out. It's strange when the lasers die. They still draw the amps. And I could have sworn I measured no volts too, unless the crack kicked in. But anyway, my 2nd BR just...

All those big caps to the left are part of the toy and not being used in the LD circuit. For being 30 year old caps, they amazingly still function. They sure don't make'm like they used to. Or maybe it's just all the power supplies and motherboards that get swollen caps might be due to over...

That front shot was tricky. It kept shutting down my camera. I had to point it pretty far away from the camera.
