Oh, this isn't the 462nm PL-E pro I got from you. I'm keeping that one. This is the cheaper equality series, which I got directly from jet lasers.

The paranoia can really suck a bit of the fun out of this hobby. Whenever I take a laser outside now I feel the need to make sure the neighbors aren't out on their balconies/backyards/etc, check the skies for any helicopters, and I immediately shut off the laser if I hear a door opening or...

Crazy how they would want to ban yellow lasers. I mean wtf, seriously? I'll bet they couldn't point out a SINGLE case of a yellow laser being misused. Of course it's our government, so facts and logic need not apply.

I've often suspected that LE as a profession tends to attract a lot of the bullies and jocks from High School. I mean what else does the football player who's not good enough to play professionally, and too stupid to do anything else useful do? I'm sure it's also attractive to the sociopathic...

Seems a little silly to me:undecided: I could only see somebody getting in trouble if they were running a big importation and selling operation. Just showing what lasers you own, or selling them in the BST section isn't gonna be of much concern to the govt.

488 diodes are probably your cheapest option, and those are $1k+ 495nm doesn't even exist as far as I know.

Does it really matter that much? Many of our lasers are ALREADY illegal to import. The Chinese would just continue shipping them in as 'flashlights/telescopes or whatever else'. I could see this wiping out many of the ebay laser sellers, but that would probably be a GOOD thing for our hobby...
