    RIP my 532nm greeny

That sucks, usually those lasers have suspect drivers in them, poor heat sinking, or some other corner was cut which eventually leads to failure.

589nm 50mW Dragon Lasers Spartan Yellow Laser Review

Nice review, 589nm lasers are quite impressive technological gadgets for sure. Good to see you got a stable unit which performs up to spec as well.

    Sanwu 55mw 490nm Guardian review + drawing

Re: Sanwu 50mw 495nm Guardian review + drawing I'm definitely interested, I haven't added anything to my collection in nearly a year, and this looks like a worthy piece. How do I enter?

    Photobucket B@stards

Photobucket are truly a bunch of assholes. I remember their site getting progressively worse over the years with more and more adds which would crash my browser if I didn't run addblock. Then they pulled the current bs which can only be described as holding the images hostage and hoping people...

Advice needed, JetLasers 520nm and 465nm

If you don't already have any blue lasers I'd go with the 465nm. It sounds like you already have some green lasers. 465nm is a really nice color when you look at the beam in the sky. It's pretty close to what I'd call true blue compared to the 445/450nm lasers which have always seemed more...

    Using laser pointers outdoors

You 'should' be fine using a 200mw green laser outside without safety glasses so long as you avoid any nearby reflective surfaces. Not pointing it at anything within 50 feet of you would be a good guideline, and make sure you avoid vehicles, people, airplanes, etc.

gonna try a 375nm pointer build...

Awe that sucks to hear. Oh well, it died in the name of science. You still got the experience of briefly owning something nobody else has ever had.

    Laser Razor

Reminds me of all the penny stock scam companies. I remember one which suckered me out of like $80 called VOIS. They were supposedly developing a mind control interface for computers.

    About Maybe fake Jetlaser 2W-445nm

This whole thread is confusing. Why do this? It would be easier to just buy a module from DTR and do your own build. Don't ruin a perfectly good Jetlaser for a project which probably won't work anyway.

New to the site (8 pics)

Welcome to the forum, you definitely have a decent starter laser there. If you wanna go upwards from it eventually, then I'd recommend you check out the products sold by Sanwu or Jetlasers.

    FS 488 solid state

Gotta add some pics to your post if you want interest.

    Need powerful laser for work

    That would be correct.

    Accutronitis build.

I always like a laser which can double as a blunt force weapon in the event you're unable to blind your assailant.

    $140 GLP-473 2mW(sold)

Re: $140 GLP-473 2mW At such a price I'd recommend just keeping it unless you're literally "living off ramen noodles" broke. I mean the output fell a bit, but it probably still works nicely as an eye-safe pointer to have fun with.

    CNI Releases 612nm DPSS Laser!

It's one of those "if you need to ask" kinda things. These exotic lasers are usually aimed at the 'research and development' marketplace, with very particular needs in mind. Building them as a handheld already makes little sense as is. Expecting them to be reasonable in price is basically...
