Will I need goggles for this?

May i ask whats the purpose of this build? IR for me is basically for industrial use but i have seen many people building theme as hobby and i cant see the point of building an extremely dangerous invisible laser..

Ebay adjustable current LM2596 power supply

I just bought it for testing. Too bad i don't have an osciloscope. Once it arrives ill try to find a lab of engineering at my university, mine has only bacterias, useless for testing a psu.

Need to find a new host, I think Aurora c6 is not enough

That's the problem, I can't afford spending $40 on a host... I'm pretty lost, everyone in my city that works with a lathe that could make me a heatsink for a DX flashlight asks $50 for one piece...

awillis, that's a nice host with a heavy heatsink. For how much are you planning selling it? I made a mistake, i'm getting 1,8A drivers.

Need to find a new host, I think Aurora c6 is not enough

Hey, I love the aurora C6 host, i've already built two lasers myself on them and I also have one that was built by Blord that's also great  I was talking to Lazereer about buying some X-drives and he kind of convinced me to buy them setted @ 1,8A. I have never used so much current on...

Ebay adjustable current LM2596 power supply

Hey, I found this on ebay and i'm thinking about buying it. I think i can run any diode using this supply since I can adjust the max current on it. Have you ever tested this? Do you think it will work? LED Voltage and Current Display LM2596 DC DC Step Down CC CV Adjust Power Supply | eBay...

two drivers in parallel to make 1.8a?

First thing i think was worth studying at school: 1/R1 + 1/R2 = 1/Req THanks for the offer ryan, i'll search local stores tomorrow and if i don't find it i guess i'll have to ask you for one!

two drivers in parallel to make 1.8a?

Foulmist, i can`t find a SMD resistor of ~0.15ohm here. What`s the calculation of the resistor? I think i can find a 1ohm smd but i don`t know how to calculate the output current...

Cutting an AMC7135 driver to fit aixiz module

Well, I'm thinking about filling the extra space on the heatsink with some thermal grease (or paste, I don't know how it's called). Do you think it will work?

Cutting an AMC7135 driver to fit aixiz module

Hello, I'm wondering about how can I cut this driver to make it fit aixiz module. I've seen before here on LPF a member that has done it but i can't find it anymore. If i cut it on the red lines, will it work...

Help - What diodes do I have?

There is valuable info on this thread! I'm pretty sure it's a LPC because of the value I payed. Today i'll pull off two of the am7135 to make my driver output 350mA and i'll test it. Apex, why do you use a 445nm 3-element lens backwards for this diode?!
