    driver for o-like 9mm

    I built my IR laser with the cheap LED driver. IR LD is can-positive and Vf is about 2V. So this amc7135 driver is a good match. 3 or 4 of amc7135(300-350mA) with one Li-ion battery will work fine. SHIN

    My specialty is way from electronics, too. One day, I tried to set v5 with 445nm LD at over 1.2A but could not set over 1.2A. I asked drlava about this and he replied so. And this is described (as a equation) at last lines of drlava's v5 manual. I'm waiting drlava's "v6" that could kill 445nm...

    Hi. bhank.:yh: Maximum forward current of 1N53xx is 1.5A. Voltage drop of 1N53xx is 0.9V at 1A. To set 1.1A with 445nm LD(4.1-4.2V), [V-drop at diodes 0.9 x 4] + [V-drop at resistor 1.1 x 1] = 4.7V I think roughly 3 or 4 of 1N53xx is needed.:thinking: Drlava's microflex v5 can supply maximum...

    This one(10440) is slighly longer than previous 1xAAA one, and is thinner than ordinary pen(2x AAA). Power seems stable. SHIN

    Hi. I received 5 of my 405/445 lenses today. I wonder if all 5 are "red" glass lenses. 4 of lenses are purple-tinged, one is light blue-tinged. Will I return these??:( SHIN

    Anyone ever made one of those laser mics/communicators?

    I tried once with 1W 980nm. For invisible long distance communication. But high power IR LDs were all multi mode and difficult to focus.
