Last week I built a couple of 780nm from LPC with groove2 powered by one 10440. 260mW, 280mW.

I think groove v2 with one Li-ion is perfect upto 250-300mW. The pinout is the same as LOC. SHIN edit) I have tried several 5.6mm 780nm ones from various CD burners, DVD burners etc. I think 5.6mm 780nm from LPC-815 is the most powerful upto 250-300mW.

I also use 445-G-2(405-G-2) in a blank lens mount from Axiz or a red glass lens. Excellent quality as or slightly above 405-G-1. SHIN
